Shanghai has introduced detailed regulations regarding vehicle replacement subsidies, offering a maximum subsidy of 15,000 yuan. The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Commerce, along with four other departments, has established these guidelines to support individuals purchasing new energy vehicles or National VI B fuel vehicles priced above 100,000 yuan, provided they complete the transfer of their old vehicles.
Under this policy, eligible individuals will receive set subsidies of 15,000 yuan for new energy vehicles and 13,000 yuan for National VI B fuel vehicles. This initiative aims to stimulate automobile consumption and promote the adoption of new energy vehicles.
The regulations state that each consumer is entitled to receive the subsidy only once per calendar year. The funding for these subsidies will be shared between the national and municipal governments, covering 85% and 15% of the costs, respectively. The application deadline for these subsidies is set for January 10, 2026.
