The Second National Conference on New Energy Technology and Electric Power Systems was held from May 23 to May 25, 2025, at Shenzhen University. This conference, known as NETPS 2025, focused on significant topics such as “Artificial Intelligence Methods,” “Micro-grid Applications,” and “Energy Recovery from Carbon Emissions.” The aim was to address the urgent need for innovations in energy systems and to enhance the intelligent management of future power systems.

During the conference, 137 papers were presented, with participation from renowned institutions including Qingdao University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Wuhan University, Shanghai Electric Power University, and Shenzhen University. The event also included contributions from the State Grid Corporation of China and the Southern Power Grid Corporation, totaling 29 papers from national electric network institutions and 11 papers from industrial enterprises.

The agenda featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, and technical reports. Noteworthy speakers included IEEE PES representatives and experts from various universities, who emphasized the importance of integrating innovative technologies in energy systems.

The conference was co-chaired by Shenzhen University and organized in collaboration with the IEEE and other academic entities. The focus was on exploring advancements in energy technology and its applications in electric power systems, aiming to identify key strategies for improving energy efficiency and sustainability.

Additionally, the conference established awards for the best papers and presentations, facilitating an exchange of ideas among participants. The rigorous selection process ensured that only high-quality works were recognized, with two best paper awards and two best presentation awards given out.

The event highlighted the need for continued research and development in the field of new energy technologies and electric power systems, paving the way for future collaborations and innovations.
