Compared to traditional power chip packaging forms, Schaeffler’s newly developed high-voltage embedded power module achieves lower stray inductance, significantly reducing inverter switching losses and improving inverter efficiency to over 99%, thereby enhancing overall vehicle performance and efficiency while lowering costs. Additionally, the new generation of coaxial gearboxes integrated with bevel differentials will be displayed, featuring reduced weight and more compact axial space, achieving maximum efficiency of 98.7%. Schaeffler will also showcase several innovative products tailored for hybrid engine applications, including wheel hub dampers and a new generation of electric camshaft phasing systems.

In the smart chassis domain, Schaeffler will display various intelligent steer-by-wire products and technologies, such as the Intelligent Rear Wheel Steering System (iRWS), electro-hydraulic power steering system (e2HPS), and an all-in-one actuator for steer-by-wire braking. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience Schaeffler’s next-generation steer-by-wire technology through an interactive simulator, which includes a force-feedback steering wheel. Additionally, Schaeffler will showcase variable damping shock absorbers (VDS) and active suspension systems (MDA) for dynamic chassis control. The innovative variable damping shock absorbers combine Schaeffler’s traditional strengths in electromagnetic valves and mechanical hydraulic systems, providing a greater range of damping adjustment to absorb vibrations from the road, reducing body pitch and roll during acceleration, braking, and cornering. The active suspension system utilizes a high-pressure oil pump to further enhance the damping performance, delivering a more comfortable ride and improved handling. The variable damping shock absorbers are set to enter mass production at Schaeffler’s Xiangtan plant this year.

Moreover, Schaeffler will present solutions for smart body applications, including electric door actuators for vehicle entry systems, handle sensors, ultra-wideband (UWB) sensors, and an intelligent sensor cleaning system (ASCS) designed for automatic vehicle camera and sensor cleaning.
