Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an essential component of modern consumer devices, transforming both work and play. Announced today, June 23, the Arm-based Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14” represents a significant advancement in AI-powered experiences, providing users with powerful AI features and tools at their fingertips. This device is powered by MediaTek’s Kompanio Ultra system-on-chip (SoC), built on the Arm compute platform, which combines high performance with industry-leading power efficiency.

### Innovative Built-in AI Features

The Chromebook Plus devices offer users direct access to a variety of new AI features and tools, most of which are integrated into ChromeOS. Many of these features are unique to the Arm-powered Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14”, including iterative high-resolution image generation within the Gallery and Smart grouping via Chrome Tabs, enabling faster, more intelligent, and seamless real-time AI experiences.

All these AI features benefit from the Armv9 architecture, designed to maximize performance and power efficiency. This allows advanced AI workloads to run locally, significantly reducing latency, enhancing privacy, and extending battery life—all within the sleek, fanless design of the Chromebook Plus.

In addition to its performance capabilities, the Armv9 architecture incorporates built-in security features that protect data at both hardware and software levels. The foundation of MediaTek’s Kompanio Ultra SoC, the Armv9 architecture includes the Arm Cortex-X925 CPU for high-performance bursts, along with Arm Cortex-X4 and Cortex-A720 CPUs for power-efficient background AI processing. The inclusion of the Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU ensures richer visuals and smoother streaming.

This multicore configuration empowers responsive productivity, rich content creation, and smooth media experiences, while offering significantly longer battery life than many traditional laptop architectures. The Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14” boasts an impressive battery life of up to 17 hours, making it the longest-lasting device in the Chromebook Plus lineup.
