In 2024, the global energy storage market continued to experience rapid growth, with newly operational energy storage projects exceeding 80 GW, reaching a total of 82.7 GW, which represents a year-on-year increase of 59.0%. Notably, new types of energy storage accounted for nearly 90% of the new installations, with a total capacity of 74.1 GW/177.8 GWh, showing a growth of 62.5% and 61.9% respectively. China, the United States, and Europe remain the leaders in the global energy storage market, with their combined new installation capacity increasing to 90% of the total.
