Inner Mongolia’s First Off-Grid Wind Power Project Achieves Full Capacity Grid Connection
On May 23, Inner Mongolia’s first off-grid wind power project, the green power supply project by Three Gorges Group in Ordos City, successfully connected to the grid at full capacity. The project features a total installed capacity of 300,000 kW, with 48 wind turbines each rated at 6.25 MW. It includes a new energy storage system with a capacity of 45 MW/180 MWh and is expected to generate 870 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing coal consumption by approximately 260,000 tons and CO2 emissions by around 710,000 tons.
Huadian Yunnan Dali Shared Energy Storage Project Fully Operational
On May 25 at 3 PM, the Heqing Shared Energy Storage Project, the first energy storage station of Huadian Yunnan, was fully operational. The project, which began construction on February 16, 2025, was completed and connected to the grid within just 88 days.
