On October 17, Puyang held a launch ceremony for the mass promotion of 150 hydrogen fuel cell refrigerated trucks by Feng Qinyang. The event was attended by key officials, including Zhou Dongke, the Executive Vice Mayor of Puyang, and Zhu Xinding, a second-level inspector from the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. A total of 50 representatives from various enterprises and industries gathered to discuss the new development of the hydrogen energy industry.
In his speech, Zhou Dongke emphasized that this launch marks a significant milestone in Puyang’s hydrogen energy industry, transitioning from technical exploration to real-world applications. It also exemplifies the city’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality and promoting industrial green transformation. Currently, Puyang has laid the groundwork for a relatively complete industrial chain, and the construction of the “Central Plains Hydrogen City” is showing promising results, continuously injecting “Puyang energy” into the development of the Zhengzhou urban agglomeration.
Zhu Xinding noted that the mass promotion of these 150 hydrogen fuel cell refrigerated trucks is a crucial step for Puyang in fulfilling its commitment to join the Zhengzhou urban agglomeration. This initiative represents a significant breakthrough for the city’s fuel cell vehicle industry, extending from “short-distance logistics scenarios” to “cross-regional cold chain scenarios.” It signifies a key advancement in the province’s hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, paving the way for further applications of hydrogen energy in heavy trucks and urban distribution, thereby generating multiple demonstration effects and far-reaching impacts.
During the ceremony, Feng Qinyang Hydrogen Energy Technology (Puyang) Co., Ltd. signed cooperation agreements with several companies, covering the entire lifecycle of hydrogen energy vehicle operations. Sun Xuehong, the head of Zhengzhou Zhi Jian New Energy Vehicle Service Co., Ltd., stated that the demand for new energy vehicles is increasingly recognized by upstream customers and related industry chains. This is particularly vital for the food and pharmaceutical cold chain distribution sectors, where relying on Henan Province’s policy of free highway access for new energy vehicles can significantly reduce operating costs and enhance operational efficiency, creating greater development opportunities for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
This event, hosted by the Puyang municipal government, marks a solid step towards the scaling and commercialization of the hydrogen energy industry in Puyang, providing a valuable “Puyang model” for the development of hydrogen energy nationwide.
