Progress on the First Line of the “Belt and Road” Construction Project

Progress

The “Fifth Lineconstruction project is making progress as the approval process for the first phase is underway. As of May 1, 2025, the China Energy Network reported that on April 29, at the site of the new energy project at the 500-kilovolt combined wood station, machinery is currently in operation. A total of 281 construction workers are actively engaged in the project, which is progressing under strict supervision.

On April 29, the site at the 500-kilovolt combined wood station for the new energy project is buzzing with activity, with various machines operating and 281 construction workers diligently performing their tasks under tight regulations. This project is expected to continue its construction activities consistently during this period. The state grid’s power supply personnel are working at the 500-kilovolt combined wood station for the new energy project, focusing on assembling the necessary structures.

The 500-kilovolt combined wood station for the new energy project is part of a larger initiative to enhance power generation capacity. The construction includes the establishment of a new 500-kilovolt transformer station with a capacity of 120 megawatts, alongside six outgoing lines ranging from 220 to 500 kilovolts. This project is crucial for meeting power demands in the surrounding area and will significantly enhance the regional energy supply.

As the construction progresses, it aims to ensure that it meets the requirements for connecting to the grid and supplying electricity effectively. The project is designed to support the regional energy growth and facilitate the integration of new energy resources into the grid.

Since April this year, the construction site at the 500-kilovolt combined wood station has faced challenges such as severe weather conditions and road accessibility issues. The construction team has been utilizing steel plates to maintain access while employing various operational strategies to ensure that the project remains on schedule and meets safety standards.

By October 2024, the construction of the 500-kilovolt new energy project is set to be in full swing, with the goal of completing key milestones. As of now, the foundational work for the transformer station has been completed 100%, with all supporting structures also reaching full completion. The line infrastructure is currently at a 75% completion rate, with further developments planned to ensure that the project meets its deadlines.

As the construction progresses, the teams are committed to maintaining a strong safety protocol to ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The objective is to provide a reliable power supply that meets the growing demands of the area, ultimately contributing to the advancement of the new energy sector.
