The procurement announcement specified that bidders must have at least two previous supply performance records for energy storage integrated systems with a capacity of 50MWh (DC side) or more for individual projects from April 2020 until the bid submission deadline.

The region experiences a long annual sunshine duration of over 2,000 hours and an average annual temperature of 24.9°C, with the highest average temperature around 29.3°C and the lowest around 20°C. The average annual precipitation is 1,664 millimeters with more than 150 rainy days each year. The predominant winds are southeast and east, with an average annual wind speed of 3.4 m/s.
The project site is in an area prone to typhoons; statistics show that Qionghai has experienced 17 typhoons, with two of them rated at level 14 or above. According to the 2022 Basic Wind Speed Distribution Map for Coastal Areas of Southern Power Grid, the design wind speed for Qionghai Yangjiang is 37m/s, which corresponds to a basic wind pressure of 0.86kN/㎡. Considering the region’s susceptibility to typhoons, it is recommended that this project be designed to withstand typhoons of level 14 and a basic wind pressure of 1.10kN/㎡.
The tender scope includes the procurement of one set of a 25MW/50MWh energy storage system. The delivery period is 45 days from the date of the formal written production schedule notice from the tenderer after the contract is signed and effective. The delivery location is the project site in Yangjiang, Qionghai.
