Nuvation Energy’s 36-Channel Cell Interface (CI-36) Module Now Available for Order
Nuvation Energy, a prominent provider of battery management systems (BMS), is excited to announce that the 36-channel cell interface (CI-36) is now available for order. Initially introduced in 2024, the CI-36 has been engineered to enhance energy storage system density while simultaneously lowering overall system costs, aligning with the growing trend toward 52s and 104s module configurations.
This innovative module is compatible with Nuvation Energy’s G5 Battery Management System and can handle up to 36 battery cell measurements and 21 external thermistor measurements in a single unit. To assist customers in meeting their specific application needs, Nuvation Energy offers a Cell Interface system optimization program. This program allows volume customers to work collaboratively with Nuvation Energy to define reduced battery cell and thermistor measurement active channel counts per CI-36, facilitating even greater cost efficiencies.
The CI-36 is fully compatible with Nuvation Energy’s existing G5 Stack Switchgear and boasts versatile configurability for various battery chemistries, cell manufacturers, and stack topologies. This solution underscores Nuvation Energy’s commitment to addressing security concerns within the utility grid industry, as it has been designed and developed in the U.S. and Canada and manufactured in Canada. The CI-36 is compliant with the latest update to the 3rd edition of UL 1973 (UL 1973:2022).
Nuvation Energy will showcase the CI-36 at Intersolar 2025, taking place from February 25-27 in San Diego, California, at booth #2739, where customers can learn more about this new solution.
