The electric vehicle market has seen a significant shift towards stringent regulatory approval times in recent years. As of May 13, 2025, at 22:00, the electric vehicle sector is undergoing transformative changes. On that date, the Hengxin New Energy (002276) released a significant announcement regarding its new energy initiatives, specifically in relation to its electric vehicle charging equipment.

Hengxin has successfully obtained CCC certification for its electric vehicle charging products. This certification is a crucial step for the company, as it adheres to the principles of “precision engineering” and signifies their commitment to enhancing product quality and safety standards. The certification process is expected to bolster Hengxin’s reputation in the electric vehicle charging market.

Hengxin has expressed that their new energy initiatives are deeply rooted in the development of electric vehicle charging technology. They aim to integrate innovative technologies to establish a robust production system focusing on “product development, equipment manufacturing, and operational efficiency.”

Looking ahead, by December 16, 2024, the National Market Supervision Administration will release guidelines on the certification management of electric vehicle charging equipment, which will further enhance product quality and safety in the industry.

As of March 1, 2025, the regulation for electric vehicle charging equipment certification will commence, with the CCC certification process for electric vehicle charging equipment expected to be strictly enforced. From August 1, 2026, any charging equipment that has not passed the certification will be prohibited from being sold or used.

In recent years, the demand for electric vehicles has surged, leading to rapid growth in the electric vehicle market. According to data from the China Electric Vehicle Association, as of November 2024, the total number of electric vehicles reached 12.35 million, with charging stations numbering 3.46 million, and home chargers totaling 8.89 million.

Despite this growth, safety issues and accessibility concerns remain prevalent in the electric vehicle market. Research indicates that over 50% of electric vehicle fires are attributed to faults in the charging process. The industry’s regulatory framework has been strengthened, with numerous stringent safety standards being established.

In the latest regulatory approvals, Hengxin’s electric vehicle charging equipment was evaluated against over 100 stringent testing criteria. This included assessments of charging efficiency, durability, and safety features. Hengxin aims to continuously improve its technology and maintain high safety standards to enhance user confidence.

As a leader in the new energy sector, Hengxin plans to deepen its technological advancements and expand its market share by developing high-quality electric vehicle charging solutions. This commitment is part of the company’s strategy to align with national energy conservation and emission reduction goals.

The Hengxin New Energy’s progress signifies a promising future for the electric vehicle and charging infrastructure market, as they strive to meet the growing demands of consumers and regulatory bodies alike.
