New Energy has announced the launch of a special regulatory activity aimed at enhancing resource allocation for wind power projects. This initiative, which began on April 11, 2025, involves various stakeholders, including eleven core energy companies. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss the regulatory framework surrounding wind energy and solar projects to ensure compliance and future resource allocation strategies.
The company has identified key wind power projects situated primarily in the regions of Northern China, including locations like Daqing and Xinyuan, as well as solar power stations in places such as Hubei and Jiangxi. This initiative also aligns with the construction of the “wind power external transmission” project, which aims to secure a total of 1 million kilowatts of wind power capacity and 500,000 kilowatts of solar capacity.
According to projections, the total investment required for ongoing construction projects by 2025 is estimated at 6.878 billion yuan, with further financing expected to reach 3.352 billion yuan.
By the end of 2024, the company anticipates that the regulatory framework will require approximately 10.8 billion yuan in funding, with a consolidated capital requirement expected to be below 3%. In terms of investment strategies for new renewable energy projects, the anticipated capital cost for new wind power projects is estimated to be between 3.0 and 3.5 yuan per watt.
Looking ahead, the company plans to maintain a consistent financing approach to supplement funding and minimize resource shortages. By the end of 2024, they have already secured 1.941 billion yuan in government grants for renewable energy projects.
In 2024, New Energy is projected to generate revenue of 9.71 billion yuan, yielding a net profit of approximately 501.8 million yuan.
As part of its ongoing efforts, New Energy is focusing on enhancing its portfolio in the renewable energy sector. It has plans to develop two major renewable energy subsidiaries, with projected earnings of 17.76 billion yuan from these initiatives. Additionally, the company aims to explore more than 19.8 billion yuan in additional financing opportunities for solar and wind energy projects.
New Energy is also actively participating in the development of battery storage systems for renewable energy, with plans to construct projects worth 29.63 billion yuan that include both wind and solar energy generation capacities.
In summary, New Energy is set to play a significant role in the growth of the renewable energy sector, with ambitious plans and substantial financial backing to support its initiatives through 2024 and beyond.
