New Charging Fee Standards for Electric Vehicles in Hebei Effective January 1, 2018

New

As of January 1, 2018, Hebei Province has implemented a new standard for electric vehicle charging service fees. This change aims to promote the adoption of new energy vehicles in Hebei and reduce the electricity costs associated with electric vehicles.

Recently, the Hebei Pricing Bureau announced adjustments to the charging service fee standards for electric vehicles. The new pricing policy will take effect on January 1, 2018.

The classification of operational electric vehicle charging and swapping service fees has been simplified into two categories: urban electric buses and other electric vehicles. The maximum charging service fee for electric vehicles is set as follows: urban electric buses will maintain a rate of 0.6 yuan per kilowatt-hour, while other electric vehicles will be charged 1 yuan per kilowatt-hour. Each city will establish specific standards and management methods through their respective pricing authorities.

For service areas along expressways in Hebei Province, the specific standards will be determined by the State Grid Hebei Electric Power Company and Jibei Electric Power Company, adhering to the principle of not exceeding the maximum fee for other electric vehicles.

The Hebei Pricing Bureau has urged all cities to promptly implement and monitor the new pricing policy. Charging facility operators are required to strictly adhere to pricing transparency regulations and welcome public oversight.
