MSI has partnered with Da Ming Robotics to showcase their Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) designed for wafer fabrication facilities. This event marks the second appearance of their desktop AI supercomputers. The rapid transformation of manufacturing through AI and automation is evident as MSI integrates AI computation, embedded control, and intelligent perception into AMRs using NVIDIA’s edge AI platform, creating practical and value-driven solutions.
According to reports from Taiwanese media, MSI will participate in the 2025 Taiwan Robotics and Intelligent Automation Expo from August 20 to 23, where they will exhibit a full suite of AMRs alongside NVIDIA’s accelerated edge AI platform, which offers scalable and deployable smart factory solutions tailored to meet practical application needs.
For the unmanned transport application in wafer fabrication environments, MSI has introduced the AMR-AI-Cobot Pro, equipped with an AI perception system and a collaborative robotic arm for precise handling and transport of wafer boxes. The robotic arm module is provided by MSI’s long-term partner, Da Ming Robotics, featuring high integration, safety, and flexibility suitable for cleanroom applications. Since launching the Cobot series, MSI has utilized the collaborative robotic arm platform from Da Ming.
The AMR-AI-Cobot Pro is built on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin platform, integrating the CUDA acceleration library and AI models from NVIDIA Isaac ROS to achieve 3D spatial awareness, dynamic obstacle avoidance, and optimized path planning, significantly enhancing automation efficiency and reducing reliance on human labor.
In addition, MSI combines high-resolution industrial cameras with NVIDIA GPU accelerated computing to enable real-time detection capabilities such as defect identification, OCR, and dimensional measurement. This technology allows for the processing of large volumes of image data, aiding factories in establishing online quality control mechanisms and improving process efficiency.
Next week at the expo, MSI will introduce several new products, including the AMR-AI-Lift Robot, which features lifting capabilities for logistics handling. This robot supports automatic docking with material racks and workstations, ensuring precise stopping and efficient transport, making it ideal for smart warehousing and material conveyance on production lines. Additionally, the AMR-AI-Delivery Robot Pro will be showcased, a lightweight transport platform that supports remote scheduling, group management, automated task dispatching, and dynamic obstacle avoidance, facilitating unmanned transport layouts within manufacturing sites.
MSI will also present its self-developed Fleet Management System, which enables multi-machine deployment, centralized control, and flexible scaling, aiding in the upgrade of smart manufacturing.
