Miyun District Launches 50 Million Yuan Car Purchase Subsidy Program for 2025 Auto Carnival

Miyun

On April 30, 2025, the launch ceremony for the 2025 Songjiang Automobile Carnival took place at the “Hand-in-Hand Auto Port” in Sijing Town. This event aims to stimulate the automotive market through a dual approach of policy incentives and corporate promotions, featuring consumer subsidies, new car exhibitions, and cultural tourism integration to enhance market activity and unleash consumer potential.

During the event, the Songjiang District announced a new round of automotive consumption subsidy policies with a total scale of 50 million yuan. The first batch will include 10,000 subsidy slots, with individual consumers eligible for a maximum subsidy of 4,000 yuan. The subsidies apply to personal consumers who complete vehicle purchases and invoicing between May 1 and June 30, 2025, with applications open from May 15 to July 15.

Eligible vehicles must be registered for non-commercial use. For fuel vehicles, they must meet the National VI B emission standards, while new energy vehicles need to be listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s catalog for new energy vehicles eligible for tax exemptions.

Cai Yingzhi, head of the Market Management Department of the District Economic Committee, explained that the subsidy policy will be distributed based on vehicle price brackets: 2,000 yuan for cars priced between 80,000 and 150,000 yuan, 3,000 yuan for those priced between 150,000 and 300,000 yuan, and 4,000 yuan for vehicles priced over 300,000 yuan. This structure reflects an incentive direction where higher prices yield larger subsidies.

To ensure fair and orderly implementation of the subsidy policy, 52 automobile sales enterprises were selected through a rigorous process involving “enterprise application, street recommendations, departmental review, and public announcement,” ensuring consumers receive regulated and safe purchasing services.

Financial institutions will also offer supporting services. Yu Chenchen from Shanghai Bank announced that during the carnival, the bank will roll out several financial incentives for car purchases, including installment payment plans with terms of up to five years and monthly rates as low as 0.15%, effectively lowering the barrier for consumers.

Under these collaborative efforts, the automobile park is expected to see positive developments. General Manager Ni Qiang reported that in 2024, the park’s sales surpassed 7 billion yuan, generating over 70 million yuan in tax revenue, with more than 50 brands represented. In 2025, the park aims to introduce at least three new car delivery center brands and focus on creating a “car export” base to assist local automotive companies in expanding into overseas markets. “In the next three years, the park’s sales are projected to exceed 10 billion yuan,” Ni stated.

At the event, over 50 automotive brands including Zeekr, Xiaomi, and Seres showcased new vehicle launches, test drive experiences, and themed exhibitions, creating a one-stop shopping experience for “viewing, testing, and buying cars,” attracting many citizens to participate.

Simultaneously, Sijing Town launched the “Sifanglaike·Jingcai Go Go Go” cultural tourism consumption initiative, distributing 5,000 “exclusive vouchers” covering various sectors such as dining, cultural and creative activities, and sports venue reservations. This initiative aims to organically integrate automotive consumption with lifestyle services and leisure tourism, energizing consumer activity within the local 15-minute living circle.

According to the organizers, the carnival will continue throughout the “May 5 Shopping Festival,” leveraging policy subsidies, corporate discounts, cultural tourism integration, and financial support to continuously enrich automotive consumption offerings, enhance consumer experiences, and help Songjiang develop into a more vibrant, influential, and competitive regional automotive consumption hub.
