Major Solar Project in Yuxi County with 176 Million Investment Expected to Generate 40 Million kWh Annually

Major

The total investment for the rooftop distributed photovoltaic construction project in Yuqing County is approximately 1.76 billion yuan. Once completed, the project is expected to generate around 40 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.

Recently, the first phase of the project has made significant progress after successfully completing material procurement and rooftop cleaning. The team is now accelerating key processes such as site marking and the installation of photovoltaic bases, laying a solid foundation for the later assembly of solar panels and timely production.

At the construction site in the Bainai Industrial Park, staff are using professional instruments to collect data, mark, and map the rooftop surface to ensure the precise installation of subsequent photovoltaic components. They are also utilizing leverage to assist in moving cement blocks, preparing for the safe load-bearing of equipment.

On another rooftop, the construction team is focusing on the core structure, welding the photovoltaic support bases strictly according to regulations to ensure the safe installation of the solar panels.

The total investment for the rooftop distributed photovoltaic project in Yuqing County is approximately 1.76 billion yuan, covering a total area of about 220,000 square meters with an installed capacity of 45 megawatts. The project encompasses the towns of Bainai and Longxi, primarily utilizing the rooftops of commercial standard factories and public buildings, with an effective installation area of 193,300 square meters.

The project will employ 630Wp monocrystalline silicon BAPV intelligent photovoltaic tiles to construct a 45 megawatt rooftop distributed photovoltaic power station, along with supporting distribution equipment, photovoltaic construction works, and factory reinforcement projects. The installation will be divided into 10 sections based on installed capacity and location, with a total of 75,428 photovoltaic components planned for installation, and the overall construction period is expected to last for one year. The Bainai Industrial Park project is scheduled for completion by December 30, 2025, ensuring the project progresses as planned.

Once operational, the project is expected to save coal consumption and reduce carbon emissions compared to traditional thermal power generation. It will adopt a “self-generated, self-used, surplus electricity connected to the grid” model, prioritizing electricity generated for the enterprises within the park to meet their production and living electricity needs. Any surplus electricity will be integrated into the national grid, facilitating reasonable allocation and efficient utilization of electricity.

This project not only supports the region’s low-carbon transformation and improves air quality but also promotes local economic development, achieving a dual win for ecology and economy.
