On September 18, 2025, a significant announcement was made regarding the major project known as “Solar + Storage.” This initiative, spearheaded by the consortium of three companies, aims to enhance the capacity and efficiency of solar energy generation combined with energy storage systems.
The “Solar + Storage” project marks a new operational model that is set to launch, leveraging the strengths of renewable energy sources. It is designed to optimize the integration of solar energy into the power grid, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of energy production.
Solar energy, derived from sunlight, is a crucial technology in the renewable energy sector. This project utilizes advanced theoretical concepts from solar physics to maximize the output of energy through solar panels. The project is strategically located in the Xinjiang region, with a total installed capacity of 100 megawatts, comprising 10 megawatts of solar storage capacity and 90 megawatts of solar generation capacity.
The solar storage segment will incorporate 26,000 lithium-ion batteries, optimizing energy storage capabilities and increasing grid stability. The system aims to achieve operational readiness within an eight-hour timeframe, ensuring that solar energy is effectively converted and utilized. The project harnesses high-efficiency solar technologies, ensuring stable and reliable energy supply.
As the project progresses, the solar storage facility will be able to contribute to power supply during peak demand periods, especially at night or during cloudy weather, delivering a steady output of electricity for 24 hours a day.
Upon completion, the solar storage facility will be able to deliver energy seamlessly, working in conjunction with the solar generation plant. It is expected to produce about 20.67 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which will significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 163,000 tons.
This initiative underscores the commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure and supporting the transition towards sustainable energy solutions.
