Renewable Energy Group has officially launched its first rooftop solar project and grid connection, as announced on April 21, 2025. This project, constructed by Renewable Energy Group, aims to enhance local energy production and efficiency.
Recently, Renewable Energy Group secured limited funding from the Dapeng Economic Development Zone for its initial rooftop solar project. This project is intended to operate effectively and generate electricity while also boosting operational efficiency. The project aims to achieve significant milestones, marked by the term “green energy speed,” contributing to the company’s goal of sustainable development.
The project will utilize approximately 15,000 square meters of rooftop space for construction. It is designed to have a total capacity of 2,243 kilowatts, with an estimated annual electricity generation of around 330.53 megawatt-hours. The project adopts a “grid-connected” model, which will not only help reduce energy costs associated with grid connections but also improve air quality and environmental protection efforts.
To ensure the project’s success, Renewable Energy Group intends to adhere to strict safety and quality standards during the construction phase. The company will engage various stakeholders through specialized meetings to address important topics related to construction, such as load-bearing capacity, technical strategies, water management, and safety regulations.
Additionally, during the construction process, there will be multiple opportunities for consultations with all stakeholders involved. This collaborative approach aims to refine the construction plan, tackle potential issues, and ensure high-quality execution.
After 20 days of construction, the project is set to commence electricity generation. Moving forward, Renewable Energy Group will continue to pursue the national “carbon neutrality” goals, ensuring a commitment to green energy development and reinforcing its position in renewable energy projects.
