LG Energy Solution Wins Two InterBattery Awards for Battery Innovation
LG Energy Solution has been honored with two prestigious awards at the 2025 InterBattery Awards for its innovative 46-series cylindrical battery cells and advanced battery management services. The awards ceremony took place on Monday, just ahead of InterBattery 2025, which is set to be the largest annual gathering of the battery industry in the nation, starting on March 5.
According to the company, the 46-series electric vehicle battery cells, featuring a diameter of 46 millimeters, provide over five times the energy capacity compared to the currently used 21-millimeter diameter EV battery cells. This significant enhancement is complemented by a safety-focused module solution known as the Cell Array Solution, which carefully positions the 46-series cells within the battery pack. This innovative system includes LG’s proprietary technology designed to prevent heat spread, thus improving the overall safety of the battery pack.
Additionally, LG Energy Solution received recognition for its B-Lifecare platform, a battery management service that offers real-time monitoring of EV battery conditions. This service not only provides maintenance solutions but also analyzes individual driving and charging habits to optimize battery performance.
