Haichun Energy has recently launched the ∞Cell 587Ah energy storage battery and the ∞Power 6.25MWh 2h energy storage system that utilizes this battery. The production of the ∞Cell 587Ah battery commenced in April this year.

China’s largest integrated “solar-hydrogen storage” offshore photovoltaic project has successfully connected to the grid. This project, developed by Guohua Investment’s Jiangsu branch, combines photovoltaic power generation, hydrogen production, and energy storage. It has a total capacity of 400,000 kilowatts and was officially connected to the grid on April 29 at 15:38.

On April 30, the first full-scenario energy integration project in Guangxi was successfully connected to the grid, with a capacity of 2.2MW/4.73MWh. This project, developed by Beibu Gulf Investment Group, spans the highway section from Datang to Pubi.

According to a report by the Financial Times on May 6, South Korean companies are expanding their battery competition with Chinese firms from electric vehicles to energy storage. The surge in demand for renewable energy and data centers is fueling a growing trend in battery storage for grid services.

The 100MW/200MWh independent energy storage project in Neihuang, Henan, developed by China Resources, successfully connected to the grid on April 29 at 23:01. The successful power transfer marked a significant milestone in the project’s completion.

On April 30, a massive power outage affected over 50 million people across Spain and Portugal. The power disruption impacted essential services such as transportation, communication, and healthcare.

In the United States, energy storage capacity grew by 32.8% year-over-year, reaching 12.3GW as of March 19. A report by Wood Mackenzie and the American Clean Power Association forecasts that the capacity could reach 15GW by 2025, although fluctuations in policies could result in a 27GW difference over the next five years.

On April 27, BYD shipped 120 MC Cube-T energy storage systems from Beibu Gulf Port, marking the delivery of the world’s largest grid-side energy storage project with a capacity of 12.5GWh.

In summary, the energy storage sector continues to evolve rapidly, driven by new projects and technological advancements, highlighting the increasing significance of energy storage in the global energy landscape.
