The “High-Quality Development Energy Tour” Online Evaluation Guidance Activity for 2025 was launched in Guangzhou on May 27, 2025. This initiative is jointly hosted by the Central Cyberspace Administration of China and the National Energy Administration, and it is organized in collaboration with China Southern Power Grid and China Net.
Key leaders from the National Energy Administration and the Central Cyberspace Administration, including He Xiaobai, a board member and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of China Southern Power Grid, attended the launch event and delivered speeches.
Leaders from the National Energy Administration emphasized that this year is crucial for implementing the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party. It marks the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the beginning of drafting the 15th Five-Year Plan. Additionally, it is the first year of the formal implementation of the Energy Law of the People’s Republic of China. Thus, promoting high-quality development in the energy sector is of significant importance.
The activity aims to conduct field visits to the energy production frontline, uncovering typical cases and stories that highlight how the energy sector supports development in southern regions and contributes to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The goal is to produce engaging online evaluation works that vividly showcase the historical achievements of the energy sector in this new era.
He Xiaobai stated that in recent years, China Southern Power Grid has firmly implemented the new energy security strategy of “Four Revolutions and One Cooperation,” prioritizing service to the broader context. The company has played a strategic role in the state-owned economy, promoted green development, and driven the transition to low-carbon energy and electricity. They are also focused on innovation to build national strategic technological strength while ensuring safety and reliability.
China Southern Power Grid pays great attention to news and public opinion work, collaborating with media partners to enhance positive publicity and online evaluation guidance. This effort aims to foster a favorable atmosphere for the high-quality development of the energy and electricity sector while promoting a trustworthy and appealing image of the energy workforce.
This launch event is a key component of the “High-Quality Development China Tour” series. From May 27 to 30, a research team composed of reporters from central and industry media and positive online influencers will visit cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Foshan. They will conduct on-site investigations of venues for the 15th National Games, the country’s highest water transmission tower, the largest new-type energy storage station in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the underground power interconnection corridor, and the Shenzhen Lianhua Mountain Super Charging Station. The aim is to showcase the achievements of electricity companies in ensuring energy security, promoting energy revolution, cultivating new productive forces, and facilitating high-quality economic and social development.
Representatives from the Central Cyberspace Administration, the National Energy Administration, and China Southern Power Grid, along with media representatives, participated in the launch event.
