JMG Celebrates World Engineering Day, Advocates for Renewable Energy and Innovation

This event highlights the vital role of engineers in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year’s theme, “Unleashing the Power of Engineers to Advance the Sustainable Development Goals,” aligns with JMG’s ongoing commitment to innovation, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

Observed annually on March 4, World Engineering Day serves as a platform to showcase engineers’ contributions to technological advancements and global development. Additionally, Solar Appreciation Day, celebrated in March, raises awareness about the immense potential of solar energy as the world transitions toward sustainable power solutions. As society gradually moves away from fossil fuels, the need for renewable alternatives like solar energy has never been more critical.

Rabi Jammal, the Group General Manager of JMG Limited, spoke on the significance of these global milestones, emphasizing the transformative impact engineers have on industries, economies, and communities. He stated, “Engineering remains at the heart of innovation, infrastructure, and energy transformation. • A Road Walk for Engineering and Renewable Energy Awareness: JMG employees and industry stakeholders will participate in a high-visibility road walk to advocate for increased adoption of renewable energy, particularly solar solutions. This event is scheduled for March 14, 2025.
