Jingzhi Technology Launches Bolt: The World’s Fastest Humanoid Robot with a Top Speed of 10 Meters per Second

On February 2, Jingzhi Technology officially launched its first full-sized humanoid robot, Bolt. During the launch event, a humorous scene unfolded as founder Wang Hongtao personally participated in a race against Bolt. The match ended when he stumbled due to exhaustion, resulting in the robot’s victory, which drew significant attention. The company emphasized that the entire race was filmed live, without any special effects or acceleration, showcasing the robot’s speed advantage in a genuine manner.

The standout feature of Bolt is its running performance, achieving a maximum speed of 10 meters per second, making it the fastest humanoid robot in the world. The robot was developed under the leadership of Wang Hongtao, a distinguished professor at Zhejiang University, utilizing Jingzhi Technology’s core theories of coupled dynamics and cerebellum-level general control algorithms to achieve efficient dynamic control.

Notably, the company previously developed a quadrupedal robot called Black Panther II, which set the record for the fastest in Asia at 10.3 meters per second. Wang Hongtao stated that focusing on running speed helps to define the physical limits of robots and guides future product development. The team’s next goal is to have the robot reach and exceed the biological limit of a cheetah, which is 30 meters per second, continuously breaking through the technical bottlenecks in dynamic control for humanoid robots.
