
On April 29, the National Energy Administration released data regarding the photovoltaic power generation construction for the first quarter of 2025. According to the report, China added 59.71 million kilowatts of new photovoltaic capacity during this period, bringing the total installed capacity to 94.544 million kilowatts. This includes 23.41 million kilowatts of newly installed centralized photovoltaic systems, 36.31 million kilowatts of distributed photovoltaic installations, and 5.05 million kilowatts from household solar systems.
Among the provinces, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Yunnan led the country with over 5 GW of newly connected photovoltaic capacity each. In distributed projects, Guangdong took the lead with 4.95 GW of new capacity, followed closely by Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, each exceeding 3 GW. For centralized projects, Yunnan and Xinjiang ranked first and second, respectively, with 4.8 GW and 3.2 GW of new installations.
