JAKA Robotics at AW2026 Korea Exhibition

On March 4, 2026, the Automation World 2026 (AW2026), Asia’s leading smart manufacturing innovation expo, officially commenced at the Coex Convention Center in Seoul. JAKA Robotics showcased its embodied intelligence products, mature industrial collaboration solutions, and educational ecosystem products at booth D711, unlocking infinite possibilities for the smart upgrade of the Korean manufacturing industry through the integration of “embodied intelligence,” “AI vision,” and “composite mobility” technologies.

The embodied intelligence directly addresses the pain points in both commercial and light industrial sectors, attracting significant market attention. The booth was lively with the engaging human-machine interaction sound of “안녕 lumi!” As a global leader in general-purpose intelligent robotics, JAKA’s featured products, the JAKA Lumi embodied intelligence platform and the JAKA K1 dual-arm robot, became the highlights of the exhibition.

The JAKA Lumi platform is a highly integrated smart training platform offering a complete toolchain from simulation and training to deployment. Its presentation at AW2026 was inspired by the interest of a long-time customer from Korea. At the 2025 Industrial Expo, Chimeak, a major player in the Korean food industry, was attracted to the intelligent retail scene showcased by JAKA Lumi. The platform’s diverse functions and its impressive capability to achieve over 80% training success with just 50 additional data points, thanks to patented algorithms, have opened up extensive opportunities for collaboration between JAKA and Chimaek.

The JAKA Lumi smart application, developed in collaboration with local integrator Cutshion, specifically targets new commercial clients. It features multi-language intelligent voice interaction, an image acquisition and drawing system, and a complete intelligent chain for “environment perception – path planning – precise operation.” This technology demonstrates significant advantages in lightweight data collection and model training scenarios, such as delivery, inspection, and sorting, attracting numerous inquiries and experiences from new commercial and light industrial clients.

Additionally, the VR remote operation demonstration of the JAKA K1 robot captivated attendees. Visitors could immerse themselves in real-time control of the dual arms to complete collaborative tasks, experiencing firsthand the flexibility and collaborative capabilities of the JAKA K1. Its advantages in complex task collaboration and high-precision operations have generated considerable interest among clients from the automotive, electronics, and precision processing industries.

In recent years, the demand for industrial-grade embodied intelligence products in the Korean market has increased steadily. A leading Korean automotive integrator has already approached JAKA, eager to develop tailored applications around the JAKA K1 dual-arm robot. While the JAKA Kargo wheeled humanoid robot was not displayed, it has become a hot topic among Korean clients due to its mobility and load-bearing capabilities, closely aligning with the practical needs of industrial production lines.

Since embarking on its international journey in 2019, JAKA Robotics has made significant strides in the Korean industrial automation transformation, accumulating numerous mature technology solutions and localized case studies. The welding applications showcased at the event stem from JAKA’s deep collaboration with a major Korean shipyard over the past two years. Local integrators have extensively developed around JAKA’s welding robots and software, creating substantial value, particularly with the JAKA Zu series robots that offer lightweight and easy programming advantages in confined and frequently relocated welding scenarios.

The welding solutions presented cover various types, including CO2 welding, MIG welding, and laser welding, catering to both long weld seam requirements for large structural components and precise welding for small workshop parts. Coupled with accessories like magnetic bases, these solutions perfectly adapt to the diverse needs of the manufacturing industry.

The JAKA A12L robot, featuring an integrated camera and high-speed moving frequency, addresses a critical pain point in the Korean composite robotics market. Compared to similar products in the Korean market, the JAKA A12L not only boasts faster cycles and higher camera resolution but also offers easy calibration, deployment, and user-friendliness, making it a focal point for industrial manufacturing clients.

Moreover, the JAKA S³ composite robot application utilizes a system integration and modular hardware design to tackle challenges related to robot deployment and operation difficulties, resulting in a more flexible (smart), safer (safe), and quicker (speed) production line upgrade. The exhibition also featured the JAKA Lens 2D camera’s 2.5D and visual servo capabilities, demonstrating the limits of composite robot capabilities through interactive demonstrations with the JAKA Zu3.

With a mission to “liberate productivity and create a better world,” JAKA is not only focused on industrial needs but also on the long-term potential within the educational sector. Currently, JAKA has established connections with nearly ten leading Korean universities, successfully integrating its educational applications within the university system and receiving positive feedback. The educational experiment box displayed features the JAKA MiniCobo robot, a 2D visual camera, and various functional modules for conveying, assembly, and gluing, satisfying demands for robotic process verification, professional teaching, and visual project development, while being adaptable for various robotics competitions.

JAKA is committed to a “localized symbiosis” strategy, emphasizing deep cooperation with local partners to integrate proprietary technologies that enhance the localized adaptability and implementation capabilities of JAKA robotics products. In addition to the JAKA Lumi platform developed with Cutshion, the ecological collaboration effect of JAKA in industrial scenarios with local partners is also significant. Various JAKA products can be seen at other booths at AW2026, showcasing applications designed by integrators for major Korean clients across multiple industries.

JAKA Robotics (booth D711) will host a product sharing session for the JAKA Lumi platform, focusing on its core features and comprehensive applications in the service, new commercial, and light industrial sectors. We warmly invite everyone to join us for this intelligent technology feast!

This AW2026 Korea exhibition marks JAKA’s first independent participation in Korea, representing another milestone in its international expansion. The establishment of the Toyohashi base in Japan in 2025 provides solid support for deepening JAKA’s presence in the East Asian market. Moving forward, JAKA will continue to enhance local cooperation in East Asia, accelerate product certification, and expand scenario applications to achieve long-term growth in the fertile ground of intelligent manufacturing, collaboratively writing a new chapter in intelligent upgrades with its partners.
