The 15th International Flow Battery Forum (IFBF) is set to take place in Vienna from June 24 to 26, 2025. This event will bring together global experts to discuss the latest advancements in flow batteries and their increasingly vital role in energy storage. The forum is supported by CellCube and Flow Batteries Europe.
On February 18, 2025, it was announced that the IFBF will once again unite the global flow battery community to explore new developments in science, technology, and commercialization. The event will feature panels, technical and poster sessions, networking opportunities, and a site visit to CellCube’s headquarters, fostering discussions among industry leaders, policymakers, and researchers in the flow battery and energy storage sectors.
Registration for the forum is now open, with Early Bird tickets available until the end of March. As the world transitions towards sustainability and increased reliance on renewable energy, there is a growing demand for reliable and durable energy storage solutions. Flow batteries are essential for accelerating decarbonization, offering a cost-effective, sustainable, and long-lasting option.
Each year, the IFBF serves as a platform to showcase the latest research and projects from around the world, highlighting how flow batteries are contributing to a more resilient energy system. With approximately 100 submissions received for proposals, the interest in presenting the latest findings in Vienna has been remarkable. This signifies IFBF’s commitment to creating a high-quality event that enhances knowledge and influence in the field of flow batteries.
The conference will be held at the InterContinental Hotel, located in the heart of Vienna—an ideal European hub for trade, innovation, and sustainability. This setting will facilitate meaningful dialogues among an international audience, all engaged in discussions around renewable energy.
The IFBF is co-hosted by CellCube, a key player in the flow battery sector, and Flow Batteries Europe, the advocacy group for flow batteries in Europe. It is a must-attend event for anyone interested in energy storage and looking for sustainable, long-term solutions. Attendees can expect a dynamic three days filled with presentations, networking, and engaging activities, all while enjoying views of the Danube River.
