2025 International New Energy Vehicle Key Technologies and Low Carbon New Materials Innovation Conference Opens
On May 14, as part of the fifth Huaihe Huashang Conference, the 2025 International New Energy Vehicle Key Technologies and Low Carbon New Materials Innovation Conference was inaugurated. The event was attended by Lin Xiaoming, a member of the municipal standing committee and executive vice mayor. Jean-Claude Stainmetz, the president of the International Automotive Lightweight Green Technology Alliance, and Cui Buyin, the secretary of the park’s party working committee, delivered speeches.
Representatives from the International Automotive Lightweight Green Technology Alliance, the China-Europe New Energy Intelligent Vehicle Industry Association, and the China-Europe Automotive Materials Committee, along with well-known enterprises, research institutes, investment agencies, and leaders from relevant municipal departments, participated in the event. Lin Xiaoming and Jean-Claude Stainmetz jointly unveiled the International Automotive Lightweight Green Technology Alliance (Huai’an) Innovation Center.
The Innovation Center, located in the Huai’an Industrial Park, is a collaborative establishment between the International Automotive Lightweight Green Technology Alliance, the China-Europe New Energy Intelligent Vehicle Industry Association, the Huai’an Municipal Government, and the Huai’an Industrial Park Management Committee. It aims to facilitate technological collaboration, exchanges, product development, achievement displays, laboratories, pilot testing, and project incubation, creating a new industrial chain ecosystem for lightweight new energy vehicles and a low-carbon industrial cluster service platform that radiates globally from the Yangtze River Delta.
In his speech, Jean-Claude Stainmetz expressed high appreciation for the meticulous organization of the Huaihe Huashang Conference and extended his heartfelt thanks for the strong support from the park. He noted that the low-carbon transformation and sustainable development of the automotive industry have become a focal point for the entire sector. The future of the automotive industry will enter a new phase of rapid iteration of low-carbon products and a low-carbon ecological revolution across the entire lifecycle value chain. This conference will further enhance the iterative innovation of key technologies in new energy vehicles, pioneering applications of low-carbon new materials, and collaborative innovation within the low-carbon ecological chain.
By 2025, the alliance plans to strengthen the collaborative innovation and close cooperation among automotive materials manufacturers, complete vehicle manufacturers, and component suppliers, enhancing the application of new material technologies within the lightweight industrial chain and promoting the international innovative development of China’s independent brand new energy vehicle industry.
Cui Buyin articulated the park’s investment advantages through four key points. He mentioned that the park has unique resource endowments and immense development potential, making it a prime location for investment and business opportunities. He stated that the park represents a strategic opportunity, a hub for industry acceleration, a center for innovative vitality, and a gathering place for high-quality resources. Choosing the park means aligning with critical national strategies, collaborating with vast development prospects, and fostering mutual benefit through efficient innovation ecosystems.
The park is committed to an ambitious vision, harnessing the power of innovation and entrepreneurship, maintaining a focus on practical efforts, and nurturing a spirit of collaboration and shared success. The park will regard enterprises and entrepreneurs as its most valuable resources and treat business partners as honored guests, working hand in hand with them to create a new landscape of high-quality development.
During the meeting, Chen Bingxin, the director of the management committee, signed strategic cooperation agreements on behalf of the park with Taizhou Kamila Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. and Costco International Group of the United States. The event also featured discussions on ecological innovation in new energy vehicles and the low-carbon industrial chain, showcasing advancements in automotive lightweight green technology and cutting-edge low-carbon materials.
