Recently, advancements in localization technology have significantly enhanced the capabilities of surgical instruments, allowing real-time tracking of their positions and providing surgeons with precise operational guidelines, thereby improving the accuracy and efficacy of surgical procedures.

On February 4, the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted a joint event with Yangtze University to present a novel precision guidance strategy during a seminar on Natural—Sensing Devices. This collaboration resulted in the development of a system that allows for precise localization, adaptable guidance, and a strategy for joint localization that provides high precision and real-time tracking capabilities for surgical devices.

The seminar featured presentations from scholars representing both institutions, including students from Yangtze University, who collectively discussed and demonstrated the new strategies. The precision guidance strategy focuses on ensuring the exact location of surgical instruments during complex procedures, which is vital in clinical settings where precision and adaptability are paramount.
