Hubei New Energy Division: Innovative Processes Effectively Enhance Anti-Contamination Efficiency in Photovoltaic Power Stations
On May 19, 2025, the Hubei New Energy Division of Datang showcased its innovative capabilities through technological advancements aimed at addressing the common issue of “efficiency loss due to dust” in the photovoltaic industry. The division actively explored and implemented pilot applications of nanocoating technology for photovoltaic modules, enhancing the anti-contamination efficiency of power stations.
Recently, this division applied technological innovations at the Daye photovoltaic power station. Based on the dust accumulation conditions in the photovoltaic area, 16 representative branch photovoltaic arrays were selected as pilot transformation sites. Utilizing a combination of “deep cleaning + nanocoating” technologies, the division successfully completed the nanocoating treatment of 448 photovoltaic modules. They employed biodegradable acidic cleaning agents during the rinsing phase to thoroughly eliminate residues, effectively reducing environmental risks.
This innovative process significantly mitigated power generation losses caused by dust blockage. By decreasing the frequency of cleaning, the division directly saved on labor, water, and equipment costs, thus achieving a reduction in expenses while enhancing efficiency. The durable coating not only supports long-term operational maintenance strategies but also transitions periodic cleaning towards “preventive maintenance,” transforming the innovative experience into a replicable “operational template.”
