When the real-time power exceeds the maximum demand, the storage system automatically discharges to reduce the transformer output, ensuring it remains within limits. This effectively lowers demand charges and reduces overall electricity costs for commercial parks.

The market potential for commercial energy storage is enormous, yet it faces several challenges:

  • Technical Issues: These include harmonics and resonance problems, demand management, transformer capacity limitations, power factor control, interaction with the electricity market, protocol compatibility, and coordinated control of storage and solar power.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Challenges such as high pollution levels, connection conditions, installation space, and extreme temperature and humidity need to be addressed.
