Operational oversight is managed by PT Aruna Hijau Power (AHP), a company co-owned by PT Aruna (80%) and PLN Batam (20%). Adi Dharmanto, President Director of PT Aruna Hijau Power, shared details about the plant’s capabilities. It features 160,000 bifacial solar panels, each with a capacity of 630 Wp, supported by 240 advanced inverters. This facility is expected to generate an impressive 150 GWh of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 118,725 tons of CO2 emissions each year, thus reinforcing Indonesia’s commitment to cleaner energy sources.

Spanning 80 hectares, this solar farm not only holds the title of the country’s largest but also utilizes cutting-edge bifacial technology, which enhances energy capture by absorbing sunlight from both sides of the panels—crucial for ensuring efficiency and sustainability in large-scale solar installations.
