The clean energy market is expanding, and Huawei plans to increase its investment in Thailand.

On May 6, 2025, Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. hosted the “2025 Asia Pacific C&I Future Energy Summit.” During the event, several representatives from private sector energy companies highlighted the growing demand for renewable energy in Thailand, particularly from the private sector. As a result, Huawei intends to direct its research and development teams to explore various energy forms beyond their current solutions. This may lead to further investments in renewable energy-related businesses in Thailand.

Currently, Huawei’s operations in Thailand focus on promoting innovation and sustainability, providing renewable energy solutions and energy storage technology services. This includes products such as the C&I Smart Hybrid Cooling ESS, solar panel installation solutions, and electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. Huawei is a leader in the Thai market, both in terms of sales volume and the development of integrated solutions.

The private sector generally recognizes the positive growth momentum of Thailand’s clean energy market. In particular, data center investors are actively preparing to establish operations in the country, as these facilities have high energy consumption and stringent clean energy requirements. Huawei’s entry into the market with clean energy solutions supports Thailand’s goal of becoming a Digital Hub in the region. However, Huawei must await clearer policies from the Thai government regarding the sale of energy generated from storage systems. If restrictions are lifted, it is expected that the demand for clean energy, especially solar panel installations, will significantly increase.

Tong Jinlu, President of Global Commercial Sales and Services for Huawei Digital Energy, stated that companies worldwide are striving to achieve their “Environmental, Social, and Governance” (ESG) sustainability goals, working to reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment as they move toward carbon neutrality. Thailand shares this ambition of becoming a digital hub, and the government must implement supportive policies for clean energy, such as the Power Development Plan (PDP), while businesses need to accelerate their efforts to meet related targets. In the future, an increasing number of large clients and even residential users are expected to adopt these solutions.

Tong Jinlu also expressed pride in Huawei’s newly launched LUNA2000-215 series, a hybrid cooling energy storage system (ESS) designed for commercial and industrial use. This system boasts six core advantages: an overall efficiency of up to 91.3%, full performance release, active safety mechanisms, intelligent operation and maintenance, user-friendly design, and compatibility with all solutions. These features reaffirm Huawei’s commitment to building a future of solar energy, energy storage, and charging that is accessible to everyone.
