On May 11, Huawei Smart Photovoltaics announced the launch of the industry’s first intelligent wind-liquid energy storage system, the LUNA2000 – 215 series, during the Future Energy Summit for Commercial and Industrial Applications held in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 30. The event attracted nearly 600 customers, partners, and installers.
Tong Jinlu, President of Global Sales and Service for Huawei Digital Energy’s Commercial and Industrial sector, introduced this innovative product, which has been developed collaboratively over three years by Huawei’s 12 global R&D centers. The system features an impressive 91.3% round-trip efficiency and incorporates a unique dual-circuit cooling plate design along with a C2C dual-chain safety system.
The LUNA2000 – 215 series seamlessly integrates with Huawei’s 150kW higher power inverters and ultra-fast charging technology. Furthermore, it enhances the flexibility and efficiency of commercial energy storage solutions through its solar-storage-charging capabilities.
Sun Xiaofeng, President of Huawei Digital Energy’s Smart Photovoltaics Business, stated that in alignment with the goals set for COP28 and COP29, there will be a significant push for the adoption of solar and wind energy. The aim is to triple the installed capacity of these renewable sources by 2030, while energy storage installations are expected to increase sixfold. This ambitious target not only highlights the central role of renewable energy in the global energy landscape but also underscores the critical importance of storage technology in achieving energy transition and ensuring reliable energy supply.
