Huawei Digital Energy: Successful Conclusion of the 2025 Global Data Center Industry Forum
On May 13, 2025, the 2025 Global Data Center Industry Forum was grandly held in Dubai, themed “Ensuring Robust Operations in the Digital World.” During the forum, with support from Alibaba Cloud, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, Huawei, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), released the White Paper on the Safe Application of Lithium-Ion Batteries in Data Centers. This white paper systematically elaborates on enhancing the safety of lithium-ion battery applications in data centers across seven key dimensions.
The document emphasizes that ensuring the intrinsic safety of lithium-ion batteries requires a solid safety foundation across three levels: cell, module, and system safety. It is recommended to prioritize remote deployment for installation. For the main equipment rooms, an automatic fire extinguishing system should use water as the extinguishing agent to effectively suppress re-ignition and maximize the stable operation of data center services.
At the Intelligent Computing Data Center (DC) Eco-Exhibition Area, Huawei showcased cutting-edge solutions focusing on core scenarios such as large model training clusters and edge inference, demonstrating its strong technological capabilities. In collaboration with ten ecological partners including China State Construction, Weichai, and Huaxi, Huawei presented its one-stop delivery capabilities for data centers and expressed a commitment to building a prosperous ecosystem through cooperation.
Huawei’s FusionPower9000 module was also on display, featuring a highly protected 40-foot container with a single box capacity supporting 2.4MW, which can be customized to reach a maximum of 3.2MW, meeting the higher power density requirements of the intelligent computing era.
