For instance, the 30MW photovoltaic and 6MW/24MWh energy storage station in Tibet, initiated by Alitabai, operates fully under extreme conditions at high altitudes (approximately 4,600 meters), very low temperatures, and weak grid scenarios. The photovoltaic output can increase from 1.5MW to 12MW, enhancing photovoltaic consumption by 75%. Over ten days, the station effectively supported the grid more than 30 times. Huawei’s intelligent string networking energy storage leverages power electronics technology to redefine the value boundaries of energy storage, ensuring grid security and stability, and is writing a new chapter in the era of renewable energy on a global scale.
Moreover, Huawei Digital Energy has redefined energy storage safety by implementing six core safety designs, upgrading the safety protection system from the mainstream box-level to a more refined battery pack level, effectively preventing thermal runaway from spreading. This is achieved through comprehensive multi-dimensional intelligent diagnostics from the Battery Management System (BMS), significantly enhancing the proactive safety capabilities of the system and safeguarding the healthy development of the energy storage industry.
Sun Quan, President of Huawei Digital Energy’s residential intelligent photovoltaic business, announced the new Household Energy Management Solution 6.0, leading advancements in green energy generation and intelligent consumption for home energy management. The newly launched LUNA S1-7kWh household storage product features an industry-leading 15-year warranty, over 40% more usable energy compared to competitors, and maximum expandability up to 252kWh, making it highly adaptable for residential and small commercial applications. This has made Huawei’s household energy storage solution a solid choice for 3.9 million households and 30,000 installation partners globally, from zero-carbon homes in Milan to photovoltaic towns in Sweden, facilitating the transition from energy-independent zero-carbon homes to interconnected energy communities.
