During the Intersolar Europe 2025 event in Munich, Huawei Digital Energy hosted a strategic conference titled “Solar Storage Integration, Intelligent Future“, which attracted approximately 300 global customers and partners. The event focused on all-scenario networking and high-quality development, highlighting the launch of a new generation of networking energy storage products and solutions aimed at large-scale energy storage stations, microgrids, commercial, and residential applications, thereby leading the new energy sector into the comprehensive networking era.

Zhou Tao, President of Huawei Digital Energy’s Smart Photovoltaics Product Line, outlined the smart photovoltaic strategic goals and value propositions. He stated that Huawei Smart Photovoltaics will adhere to its strategic objectives: focusing on the integration of 4T technologies to promote the construction of energy infrastructure for a “new power system.” Huawei’s intelligent string-type networking energy storage aims to accelerate the development of a new power system powered by 100% renewable energy through its three core value propositions: ubiquitous networking, safety from core to network, and a unified platform that accommodates all business models.

Zheng Yue, President of Huawei Digital Energy’s Networking Energy Storage Division, introduced the new generation of all-scenario intelligent string-type networking energy storage platform, which includes products for energy stations and commercial applications. Addressing common industry challenges such as the impact of high proportions of renewable energy on grid stability and energy storage safety, Huawei’s platform is designed with all-scenario networking, core-to-network security, full lifecycle economics, and comprehensive digital capabilities, establishing the gold standard for networking capabilities: energy storage should possess comprehensive networking abilities throughout the entire lifecycle and across all scenarios and operating conditions.

One notable project is the 30MW photovoltaic and 6MW/24MWh energy storage station in Tibet, which operates efficiently at high altitudes (approximately 4,600 meters) and in extremely low temperatures. The project has increased photovoltaic output from 1.5MW to 12MW, enhancing energy absorption by 75%. Within ten days, the station effectively supported the grid over 30 times. Huawei’s intelligent string-type networking energy storage is reshaping the value boundaries of energy storage through power electronics technology, ensuring grid safety and stability while contributing to a new chapter in the era of renewable energy.

Furthermore, Huawei Digital Energy has redefined energy storage safety with its six core safety designs, upgrading the protection system from the industry standard at the container level to a more refined battery pack-level thermal runaway prevention, thus achieving safer and smaller protection units. Combining this with BMS’s comprehensive multi-dimensional intelligent diagnostics significantly enhances the system’s proactive safety capabilities.

Sun Quan, President of Huawei Digital Energy’s Residential Smart Photovoltaics Division, announced the release of the Home Energy Management Solution 6.0, which leads the market from green power generation to intelligent electricity usage. Among the highlights is the new home storage LUNA S1-7kWh, featuring an industry-leading 15-year warranty, more than 40% additional usable capacity, and the capability to expand up to 252kWh, making it adaptable for both residential and small commercial applications. This robust Huawei home solar storage solution has become the steadfast choice for 3.9 million households and 30,000 installation partners worldwide, assisting in the transition from zero-carbon homes to interconnected energy communities.
