At MWC 2026, Honor officially unveiled its first humanoid robot, the Honor ROBOT, which showcased impressive performances including dancing and the moonwalk. The event took place on March 2, where the company also introduced the Robot Phone, a robot phone designed to complement the new robot.
According to an exclusive video released by Honor, the Honor ROBOT demonstrated seamless dance routines and smooth moonwalk movements, highlighting its advanced motion control and bionic technology. This robot is built on high-degree-of-freedom bionic joints, reinforced learning motion algorithms, and a dynamic center of gravity balancing system. The underlying technology comes from Honor’s extensive experience in the mobile phone sector.
Alongside the robot, the Robot Phone features a three-axis electric gimbal, a 200-megapixel sensor, and a compact 4DoF gimbal system that is 70% smaller. This device not only includes anti-shake capabilities and AI subject tracking but also supports physical interactions like body language and dancing along with music, as well as video calls in various scenarios.
CEO Li Jian described the new products as having a combination of IQ and EQ, referring to the robot’s “brain” and “limbs.” The products launched by Honor are expected to find applications in various fields such as home services, smart companionship, security inspections, and video creation, thus accelerating the entry of humanoid robots into the consumer market and promoting the widespread adoption of embodied intelligence.
In other news, following the Spring Festival Gala, the search volume for robots surged by over 300%, with customer inquiries increasing by 460% and order volume growing by 150% on JD.com.
Additionally, Apple’s spring product launch event is scheduled for March 4, where the iPhone 17e and other new products will be unveiled.
The program lineup for the 2026 Spring Festival Gala has been released, featuring performances from four companies specializing in humanoid robots, including Yushutech and Songyan Power.
