The 11th China Offshore Wind Power Conference and International Summit on Industrial Development, hosted by China Offshore Wind Power Network and organized by China Communications Construction Company Third Harbor Engineering Company, took place from April 16 to 18 in Xiamen, Fujian Province. This year’s conference brought together participants from government departments, industry associations, research institutions, offshore wind power owners, and high-quality construction companies across the entire industrial chain.
During the event, the promotional video "The Road to Wind Power" produced by China Communications Construction Company Third Harbor Engineering was showcased. Multiple achievements in wind power were displayed at the exhibition area of the Third Harbor Engineering Company.
The conference featured various segments including corporate presentations, keynote speeches, and guest dialogues. The topics covered were diverse and engaging, directly addressing the practical needs of the offshore wind power industry. Shi Beiling, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Third Harbor Engineering Company, hosted the keynote speeches and participated in guest dialogues. Attendees focused on the upgrading of the offshore wind power industry and discussed the theme of "Technological Innovation and High-Quality Development," collectively exploring pathways for the development of offshore wind power. The aim was to strengthen close cooperation within the industry chain, promote joint technological innovation, and facilitate the healthy and sustainable development of the offshore wind power sector.
In the exhibition area of the Third Harbor Engineering Company, a range of steel structure products from the full industrial chain were displayed, including offshore wind turbine monopiles, jackets, rock-socketed platforms, vacuum buckets, cages, and tower structures. Notably, the first domestically built 5,000-ton self-propelled DP crane vessel "San Hang Xiang An" and the high-quality offshore wind power grouting material "Jinggong San Hang" were also showcased, along with core technologies and strong construction capabilities of the Third Harbor Engineering Company.
As a key player in the offshore wind power industry chain, the Third Harbor Engineering Company has undertaken the construction of Asia's first offshore wind farm project and has been involved in over 50 wind power projects across 10 provinces in China. Thanks to superior engineering quality, the company has received high praise for its offshore wind power construction capabilities, maintaining the largest market share in the offshore wind construction market in China, and ranking among the top in the domestic and international offshore wind power construction field.
The offshore wind power segment is a core business area for the Sixth Company of China Communications Construction Company. In recent years, the Sixth Company has participated in the construction of over 20 offshore wind power projects, including China's first "one million kilowatts" offshore wind farm—the Sanxia Yangjiang Shapa offshore wind power project, the first offshore wind power parity project in China—the Cangnan No. 1 offshore wind power project, and Fujian's first offshore wind power project—the Putian Pinghai Bay offshore wind power project. The company has also been involved in the first "one million kilowatts" offshore wind power project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area—the Huizhou Port No. 2 offshore wind power project, holding more than 50 patents for offshore wind power inventions and utility models. The Sixth Company will continue to focus on upgrading core equipment, enhancing forward-looking technological research, and strengthening the construction of specialized wind power teams to achieve high-quality development in offshore wind power.
