
Guoxuan High-Tech has officially announced the completion of its 0.2GWh solid-state battery pilot production line, unveiling six major new products at the 2025 Global Technology Conference. These products include solid-state batteries, quasi-solid-state batteries, lithium manganese iron phosphate batteries, a super heavy-duty truck standard battery pack, a 20MWh energy storage battery system, and AI industrial intelligence for lithium battery production lines.
On May 17, Guoxuan High-Tech (002074) showcased its technological and manufacturing prowess at the conference. Solid-state batteries, hailed as the “next king” in battery technology, have become a competitive focus for various battery manufacturers. In 2024, Guoxuan High-Tech introduced its first solid-state battery, the Jinshi Battery. After a year of refinement, the Jinshi Battery has seen performance improvements and is accelerating towards mass production.
In terms of material innovation, the newly released Jinshi Battery features a sulfide electrolyte with a 60% increase in ionic conductivity and significantly enhanced air stability. Additionally, substantial breakthroughs have been achieved in the specific capacity of both the positive and negative electrodes. On the manufacturing side, Guoxuan High-Tech’s first solid-state experimental line has officially commenced operations with a design capacity of 0.2GWh and a yield rate of 90%. Data shows that the pilot sample of the Jinshi Battery cell boasts an energy density of 350Wh/kg, a 150% increase in single cell capacity, reaching 70Ah, with a 90% reduction in pre-tightening force.
Pang Ruijun, the head of solid-state battery research at Guoxuan High-Tech, noted that the pilot production line has achieved 100% independent development, with a core equipment localization rate of 100%. The related products have already begun vehicle load testing. Notably, the company is continuously optimizing its production processes and has fully initiated the design work for its first-generation 2GWh solid-state battery mass production line.
Industry experts generally view quasi-solid-state batteries as an ideal transitional technology before the mass production of solid-state batteries. During the conference, Guoxuan High-Tech also introduced the G-Yuan Quasi-Solid-State Battery, which features a cell energy density exceeding 300Wh/kg and a system energy density above 235Wh/kg. Under CLTC conditions, this battery can achieve an impressive 1000 kilometers of range. The battery incorporates a unique adaptive solid-solid interface technology that establishes high-speed ion transport channels, ensuring stable and efficient operation throughout the battery’s lifecycle.
Chief Scientist Zhu Xingbao revealed that samples of the G-Yuan quasi-solid-state battery have been sent to over five clients for testing, with more than four clients conducting vehicle tests. The “001” prototype equipped with this battery has already surpassed 10,000 kilometers in total mileage.
The lithium manganese iron phosphate battery, regarded as an advanced version of lithium iron phosphate batteries, has also accelerated its industrialization process in recent years. Guoxuan High-Tech released the first generation of its Qichen lithium manganese iron phosphate cathode material and corresponding cell technology in 2023, achieving full industry chain integration in 2024. Currently, the annual production capacity of these materials has exceeded 10,000 tons, and the cells have been adopted by several mainstream automakers for their electric vehicle models.
At the technology conference, Guoxuan High-Tech iterated the lithium manganese iron phosphate battery by launching the second generation, Qichen II. Senior Vice President and Asia-Pacific Business President Cheng Qian stated that the new battery has overcome core challenges related to the electrical conductivity, packing density, and cycle life of manganese iron phosphate materials, achieving an energy density of 240Wh/kg. It supports rapid charging within 10 minutes and retains 93% capacity at -20°C. Furthermore, it has passed rigorous thermal runaway tests at the PACK level, meeting range demands of over 850 kilometers for pure electric vehicles and over 1500 kilometers for hybrid models.
In addition to passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and energy storage are also significant growth markets. During the conference, Guoxuan High-Tech showcased its G-Xing Super Heavy-Duty Truck Standard Battery Pack, which is the world’s first standard battery pack with a capacity of 116kWh. The battery energy density reaches 175Wh/kg, integrating four-gun charging technology and a 1000V high-voltage platform to enable megawatt-level ultra-fast charging. This battery also features pioneering “zero degradation” technology, offering an exceptionally long lifespan of 12 years and 10,000 charge cycles. Xu Bangnan, Vice President of Guoxuan High-Tech’s China business, stated that the G-Xing heavy-duty truck standard battery pack is already in mass production and application, providing power support across multiple vehicle models.
In the energy storage sector, Guoxuan High-Tech introduced the Qianyuan Smart Storage 20MWh energy storage battery system, designed for a lifespan of up to 25 years. This product has passed a technology achievement assessment organized by the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association, receiving unanimous recognition from the expert panel for its innovation, technological advancement, and practical application value, being rated as “internationally leading” in its field. Zhang Dongsheng, Director of the Energy Storage Research Institute, noted that the company has secured over 6GWh in orders for ongoing and prospective projects and has decided to publicly disclose all integrated patents related to this system.
Apart from product advancements, Guoxuan High-Tech is actively embracing the new era of artificial intelligence by launching the Axtrem Industrial AI. This solution aims to create a one-stop digital solution for lithium battery production lines in the context of Industry 4.0, achieving a balance and optimization of product yield, production efficiency, and cost control.
