As the share of renewable energy in power systems increases year by year, a new power system centered around new energy is being developed at an accelerated pace. Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly released a notice on deepening the market-oriented reform of renewable energy grid pricing to promote high-quality development of renewable energy (Document No. 136 of 2025). This document emphasizes the importance of allowing renewable energy power to participate in market transactions, establishing a market-driven pricing mechanism for renewable energy, and making power market transactions a reality.
Amidst the wave of energy transformation driven by the "dual carbon" goals, GoodWe, a leading company in the photovoltaic and energy storage sector, is leveraging its "dual circulation" strategy. Through innovative all-scenario solutions encompassing "source, grid, load, storage, and intelligence," GoodWe is not only leading the domestic market but is also accelerating its international development.
Founded 15 years ago and deeply rooted in the renewable energy sector, GoodWe is poised to capitalize on trillion-level market opportunities through energy storage technologies.
Dual Circulation Strategy Strengthens Core Competitiveness
Wang Yingge noted, "In the face of unprecedented global changes, China has proposed the dual circulation strategy, and GoodWe is actively responding. We place great emphasis on the domestic market and have made significant investments, yielding remarkable results. In the first quarter of 2025, GoodWe achieved the top ranking in the domestic residential photovoltaic inverter market, with a substantial increase in market share compared to 2024. Additionally, our domestic photovoltaic building materials business performed exceptionally well, showing significant year-on-year growth. Our subsidiaries, including Yude, Smart Energy, and GoodWe Thermal, also delivered impressive results, with all business sectors rapidly growing."
In terms of international business, GoodWe has also shown strong performance. Wang Yingge stated, "Our products are sold in over 100 countries and regions, and we have 27 sales and service centers globally, along with 11 overseas subsidiaries and nearly 300 employees abroad. With the end of the inventory cycle in Europe, our performance has noticeably improved, and the Australian market consistently ranks among the top. We have also made breakthrough progress in building channels and service capabilities in the Asia, Africa, and Latin America markets."
Pioneering Energy Storage Technology
GoodWe's strategic layout in the energy storage industry is equally forward-thinking. Wang Yingge explained, "From the very beginning, GoodWe recognized that the intermittent and unstable nature of photovoltaic energy is a barrier to expanding its application scenarios. Therefore, as early as 2012, we developed our first bidirectional energy storage inverter, entering the energy storage sector ahead of others and laying the foundation for future development." At the 13th International Energy Storage Industry Summit and Exhibition (ESIE 2025), GoodWe showcased three major scenario solutions: commercial, residential, and ground storage, achieving comprehensive scene coverage.
In the commercial energy storage sector, GoodWe introduced the ALL IN ONE 125 kW/261 kWh integrated commercial energy storage cabinet, featuring self-developed 3S (PCS, BMS, EMS) technology that supports parallel operation of up to 10 units, maximizing system capacity to 1.25 MW/2.61 MWh and enabling integrated photovoltaic storage solutions. For residential energy storage, the ES Uniq inverter is designed for households in areas without stable power grids, exhibiting excellent microgrid characteristics, supporting both grid-connected and off-grid operations, and providing rapid 4 ms switching capabilities to ensure the stable operation of critical loads. For ground power station storage, the 215 kW PCS product features a modular design with outstanding networking capabilities, off-grid parallel operation, black start functionality, and compatibility with various battery types, allowing for "plug and play" efficiency on-site.
Building an Energy Value System
GoodWe's Chairman, Huang Min, was the first in the country to propose the "source, grid, load, storage, and intelligence" concept, showcasing profound insights into the future energy system. Wang Yingge remarked, "We recognize that every future power station needs to be constructed and managed from the perspectives of 'source, grid, load, storage, and intelligence.'" Based on this concept, GoodWe established a new photovoltaic building materials division focused on the research and promotion of BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) products. The company is also venturing into air source heat pumps to address household energy use issues. Its subsidiary, Yude, is creating a one-stop distributed solution in the residential and commercial photovoltaic sectors, delivering turnkey projects. Alongside hardware products, GoodWe has also launched its Smart Energy Division, which includes the "Smart Energy WE Platform." This platform now covers over 100 parks and 4,000 projects, with a collaborative scale exceeding 8 GW, aiming to surpass 15 GW by the year's end. Through digital and intelligent management, GoodWe is reconstructing the energy value system, supporting the renewable energy industry in reaching higher levels of development.
Policy Support Boosting New Opportunities for Virtual Power Plants
Wang Yingge highlighted, "Under the new policy, energy storage will become a regulatory tool that effectively adjusts electricity prices and enhances the profitability of photovoltaic projects. Additionally, the combination of distributed photovoltaics and energy storage is becoming a necessary trend, as it can improve energy self-sufficiency, reduce reliance on the main grid, and enhance electricity reliability." Furthermore, the new policy has opened up new opportunities for the integration of virtual power plant technology with distributed energy sources. Virtual power plants require the aggregation of different energy sources for trading, and the participation of renewable energy in market transactions provides the necessary conditions for their realization. GoodWe is actively positioning itself in the virtual power plant sector, building a prototype through its "Smart Energy WE Platform" that enables digital and intelligent management of each power station and supports monitoring of carbon footprints and future carbon trading.
As the global energy transition deepens, GoodWe's strategic evolution is becoming increasingly clear—responding to uncertainties with a dual circulation approach, illustrating high-quality industry development through technological innovation, and constructing an energy value system with a collaborative ecological mindset centered on "source, grid, load, storage, and intelligence."
