GoodWe Unveils Innovative Solar Storage Solutions at Intersolar Europe 2025

GoodWe

On May 7, 2025, the Intersolar Europe exhibition kicked off at the New International Exhibition Center in Munich, Germany. GoodWe made a strong entrance with the theme of “Symbiosis of Solar and Storage,” showcasing its innovative products and solutions to global attendees, highlighting its forward-thinking approach in solar-storage integration and the construction of smart energy ecosystems.

Building a Future Energy Ecosystem

During the exhibition, GoodWe unveiled a new solar-storage solution suitable for residential and commercial applications. At a press conference held on the first day (Booth B4-210), the company showcased its newly upgraded storage solutions. GoodWe’s Chairman, Huang Min, stated, “As a mission-driven organization, we are innovating through intelligent collaboration across the entire chain of ‘generation-grid-load-storage’, aiming to create safer, more efficient, AI-empowered smart energy solutions. This product launch marks a significant milestone in GoodWe’s transformation into a ‘smart energy solutions provider’.”

Solar-Storage Symbiosis Enhancing Energy Independence

In the EcoSmart Home scenario, GoodWe introduced the new ESA home energy storage unit (3-10kW/5-48kWh) with an All-in-ONE architecture that features modular design for flexible expansion. It includes a built-in battery optimizer that supports the use of both new and old batteries, operates at ultra-low noise levels, and is designed to create an “energy-independent aesthetic space” for modern households. The exhibition also featured GoodWe’s balcony photovoltaic products, designed for easy installation in small spaces, transforming them into efficient power stations. Additionally, GoodWe showcased its heat pump series, which connects the “solar-storage-heat” synergy to provide clean alternatives for high-energy consumption scenarios like winter heating and hot water supply, optimizing household electricity costs and comfort.

In the commercial sector, GoodWe expanded its product offerings to meet the diverse solar-storage needs of different business scales. The ET50kW storage inverter paired with the BAT100kWh battery cabinet addresses the needs of medium and small commercial applications. The ESA 261kWh series commercial storage unit cabinet, making its debut, supports microgrid construction, solar-storage retrofitting, backup power functions, and the ability to connect up to 10 units for an expansion capacity of up to 1.25MW/2.61MWh, enabling businesses to optimize energy efficiency and achieve long-term benefits.

Prioritizing Safety and Establishing Industry Standards

During the press conference, GoodWe showcased its comprehensive protection system built from “cell to system.” The ESA home energy storage unit features a six-layer safety architecture that covers all aspects from battery-level protection to emergency response. The core layer utilizes A-grade battery cells and an intelligent BMS system; the protection layer includes smart electrical protection and an IP65 high-strength shell; the emergency layer features multiple thermal runaway protections and fire response; and rooftop safety includes DC arc protection with AFCI 3.0 and RSD 2.0 rapid shutdown, ensuring safety performance far exceeds industry standards. As proof of GoodWe’s commitment to safety, the ESA 125kW/261kWh commercial storage unit cabinet earned the prestigious German Rheinland TÜV certification, with an award ceremony held during the conference.

AI-Driven Smart Energy Management System

With the challenges of energy management arising from dynamic electricity pricing policies, smart energy management systems have become an essential trend. GoodWe has developed an AI-driven Energy Management System (EMS) to facilitate more intelligent energy storage, usage, and conservation. For homeowners, GoodWe’s Home Energy Management System (HEMS) supports smart decision-making, intelligently coordinating photovoltaic generation, storage, electric vehicle charging, and heat pump operation, improving self-consumption rates and reducing reliance on the grid. Compared to traditional systems, households can save up to 30% on electricity costs. To ensure compatibility with the EMS, GoodWe has also upgraded its hardware products comprehensively. The new ESA residential series now supports AI-driven energy management. For commercial clients, GoodWe enhances energy utilization efficiency, enabling comprehensive management and optimized configuration of energy. This system not only optimizes self-consumption but also supports third-party EMS protocol integration, empowering users to participate in electricity trading and grid services.

Strengthening Partnerships and Expanding European Strategy

To deepen its global market strategy, GoodWe has signed agreements with strategic partners to accelerate the establishment of a distribution system, project development, and localized service networks in key European markets. By strengthening regional synergies, GoodWe aims to solidify its strategic positioning as a leading solutions provider in the energy transition field. Zhang Jie, General Manager of GoodWe Europe, stated, “GoodWe is committed to advancing safe, reliable, and high-performance solar-storage solutions to create customer value. These new partnerships reflect our long-term commitment to the European market. By deepening local cooperation and accelerating project execution, we aim to build a faster and stronger service network to help our partners succeed in the rapidly evolving energy landscape.” GoodWe will continue to adhere to its innovation-driven strategy, further deepen its global footprint, and support the transition of energy structures toward cleanliness in Europe and worldwide.
