GoodWe made a strong impression at Intersolar Europe 2025, showcasing its innovative energy storage solutions that captured significant attention. The exhibition kicked off on May 7, 2025, at the New International Exhibition Center in Munich, Germany, with the theme of “Symbiosis of Photovoltaics and Storage.” GoodWe presented cutting-edge products and solutions, highlighting its forward-thinking approach to integrating solar energy storage and developing smart energy ecosystems.
Building a Future Energy Ecosystem
During the event, GoodWe unveiled a new photovoltaic energy storage solution suitable for both residential and commercial applications. At the launch event held at Booth B4-210, the company showcased its upgraded energy storage solutions. GoodWe’s Chairman, Huang Min, stated, “Driven by our mission, we are innovating through the intelligent collaboration of the entire ‘generation-grid-load-storage’ chain, creating safer, more efficient, and AI-enabled smart energy solutions. The release of this new product marks a significant milestone in GoodWe’s transformation into a ‘smart energy solution provider.’
Symbiosis of Photovoltaics and Storage Enhances Energy Autonomy
In the EcoSmart Home scenario, GoodWe introduced the new ESA residential energy storage all-in-one unit (3-10kW/5-48kWh) featuring a modular design that allows for flexible expansion. It includes a battery optimizer to support the use of both new and old batteries, operates at ultra-low noise levels, and is designed to create an “energy autonomous aesthetic space” for modern households. The company also showcased its balcony photovoltaic products, which feature minimalist designs and flexible installation techniques, turning small spaces into efficient power generation stations. Additionally, GoodWe presented its heat pump series, which connects the “solar-storage-heat” synergy to provide clean alternatives for high-energy consumption scenarios such as winter heating and hot water supply, optimizing household electricity costs while enhancing comfort.
In the commercial and industrial sector, GoodWe expanded its product offerings to meet the diverse energy storage needs of various business scales. The ET50kW energy storage inverter, paired with the BAT100kWh battery cabinet, caters to small and medium-sized commercial scenarios, while the newly launched ESA 261kWh series commercial energy storage cabinet supports microgrid construction, solar-storage transformation, and backup power functions, with the capability to connect up to ten units, enabling expansions of up to 1.25MW/2.61MWh for energy efficiency optimization and long-term returns.
Safety First: Setting Industry Standards
During the launch event, GoodWe showcased its comprehensive protection system, which spans from battery cells to the entire system. The ESA residential energy storage unit incorporates a six-level safety architecture, covering all aspects from battery-level protection to emergency response. The core layer uses A-grade battery cells and an intelligent BMS system; the protective layer features smart electrical protection and an IP65 high-strength exterior; the emergency layer includes multiple thermal runaway protections and fire-fighting integration; and rooftop safety is enhanced with DC arc protection AFCI 3.0 and RSD 2.0 rapid shutdown, ensuring safety performance that surpasses industry standards. As a testament to GoodWe’s commitment to safety, the ESA 125kW/261kWh commercial energy storage unit received TÜV certification from Germany’s Rhine, with an award ceremony held during the launch.
AI-Driven Smart Energy Management
With the challenges of energy management brought about by dynamic electricity pricing policies, smart energy management systems have become a key trend. GoodWe has developed an AI-driven Energy Management System (EMS) that enables smarter energy storage, usage, and conservation methods. For homeowners, GoodWe’s Home Energy Management System (HEMS) supports intelligent decision-making, coordinating photovoltaic generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging, and heat pump operation to increase self-consumption rates while reducing reliance on the grid, allowing households to save up to 30% on electricity costs compared to traditional systems. To ensure compatibility with the EMS, GoodWe’s hardware products have also undergone comprehensive upgrades, with the new ESA series now supporting AI-driven energy management. For commercial customers, GoodWe enhances energy utilization efficiency, enabling comprehensive management and optimized allocation of energy. This system not only optimizes self-consumption but also supports third-party EMS protocol integration, empowering users to participate in electricity trading and grid services.
Strategic Collaboration to Strengthen European Market Presence
To deepen its global market presence, GoodWe has signed agreements with strategic partners to accelerate the establishment of distribution systems, project development, and localized service networks in key European markets. By strengthening regional synergies, GoodWe aims to solidify its strategic positioning as a leading solution provider in the energy transition field. The General Manager of GoodWe Europe, Zhang Jie, stated, “GoodWe is dedicated to advancing safe, reliable, and high-performing solar storage solutions to create customer value. These new partnerships reflect our long-term commitment to the European market. By deepening local cooperation and accelerating project execution, we aim to establish a faster and more powerful service network that helps our partners succeed in the rapidly evolving energy landscape.”
GoodWe will continue to adhere to an innovation-driven strategy, deepening its global expansion efforts to support the transition of energy structures towards cleanliness in Europe and beyond.
