17 GW! Major developments are underway with companies like Tongwei, Longi, JA Solar, and Trina leading the charge in the global market. As of October 5, 2025, significant contracts have been signed reflecting a growing trend in international collaborations.

In September, overseas contracts from these key players surged, with notable figures from DataBM.com indicating that these companies collectively secured contracts amounting to approximately 17.83 GW.

Among these, Tongwei has the highest number of contracts, totaling 3 GW from overseas, while other companies like Trina, JA Solar, and Longi also made significant contributions. This month, four projects reached the GW scale, including collaborations with JA Solar, LONGi Green Energy, and Tongwei.

On September 4, JA Solar announced a partnership with a company in Dubai to develop a 2.3 GW solar project. Similarly, on September 22, a deal was struck between LONGi and a Chinese firm for a 7 GW solar energy project.

Further, on September 24, LONGi and a partner signed an agreement to establish a 6 GW solar facility, aiming for high-efficiency module production in Saudi Arabia.

By September 25, Tongwei and ACWA Power signed a contract to supply 1.175 GW of equipment for a solar project in Saudi Arabia. This project aims to provide significant power supply by 2025.

Additionally, there are two more upcoming contracts expected to be signed shortly, with LONGi and Tongwei both actively pursuing further agreements.

On September 25, LONGi partnered with NRTC to enhance supply chain capabilities for solar projects, which will be crucial for future developments.

On September 28, Tongwei and a consortium signed an agreement that will enable the provision of high-quality solar modules for projects in Saudi Arabia.

It is noteworthy that, beyond these international collaborations, Chinese companies are also enhancing their presence by developing self-initiated projects overseas.

On September 4, a consortium including Tongwei and another company announced a plan to develop a solar project in Africa with a capacity of 1 GW.

This strategic expansion reflects the growing commitment to renewable energy and the significant role these companies play in the global energy landscape.
