In the era of carbon neutrality, GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited is driving a transformation in the power industry through AI technology. From May 8 to 9, the Second Power Industry Technology Innovation Conference, organized by the China Electricity Council, took place in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. During this event, GCL-Poly Energy showcased its role as a “digital energy leader,” demonstrating how it utilizes the Internet, big data, and cutting-edge technologies to establish a smart operation system. This system provides comprehensive lifecycle management services across various sectors, including wind, solar, storage, and charging.
As the carbon neutrality wave sweeps the globe, the intersection of artificial intelligence, big data, and power technology is not only fostering transformative industrial changes but also becoming a crucial factor in addressing energy security and promoting green transitions. As highlighted by Xin Baoan, Chairman of the China Electricity Council and the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization, the rapid increase in renewable energy sources, coupled with a surge in terminal electricity consumption, has led to heightened challenges in power supply and demand regulation. The impact of extreme weather conditions is becoming increasingly significant, making a digital and intelligent technological revolution imperative.
According to statistics from the China Electricity Council, as of the end of December 2024, the total installed power generation capacity in the country was approximately 3.35 billion kilowatts, marking a year-on-year growth of 14.6%. Among this, solar power generation capacity reached around 890 million kilowatts, reflecting a 45.2% increase, while wind power capacity stood at about 520 million kilowatts, an 18.0% rise. However, alongside this industrial growth, the inefficiencies and high costs associated with traditional operation and maintenance models have become increasingly apparent. Clearly, smart management powered by AI has emerged as a critical battleground for the industry’s breakthrough.
In recent years, GCL-Poly Energy has been committed to the low-carbon transformation of clean energy, consistently increasing its investment in research and development, and significantly enhancing its technological innovation capabilities. Notably, its operation technology company focuses on addressing industry pain points, seeking differentiated development paths in the management of renewable energy plants. With over 15 years of experience in comprehensive energy operation models and technological advantages, GCL-Poly has developed the “Xinyilian” integrated energy management platform, which relies on AI algorithms. This platform not only monitors over 300 multi-sector renewable energy stations with a total capacity of 13 gigawatts in real-time but also offers intelligent management solutions that cover the entire lifecycle of these stations, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and energy value.
Furthermore, GCL-Poly Energy is strengthening its collaboration with industry partners and actively participating in the top-level design of power technology standards, laying a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the industry. According to a relevant business leader at GCL-Poly Energy, the company will continue to deepen its focus on the technological foundation of the energy industry and the modernization of the industrial chain, consistently unleashing green momentum and advancing global energy transformation to new heights.
