Flexiv Unveils 2026 Strategy with Launch of Enlight Robot and MICO Integrated Platform

Flexiv

On March 20, 2026, Flexiv, a company specializing in general-purpose intelligent robotics, held its annual strategic product launch event, “FLEXIVERSE 2026,” in Shanghai. During the event, Flexiv officially introduced several innovative products, including the Enlight Initial Series of fully perceptive adaptive robots, the next-generation Orion control architecture, the integrated humanoid intelligent platform MICO, and enhanced Gecko material gripping claws.

Founded in 2016 by Dr. Wang Shiquan, Flexiv positions itself as a core infrastructure provider for the era of general intelligence. The company emphasizes a technology route that prioritizes tactile feedback while supplementing it with visual input, offering a comprehensive robotic base platform through full-stack hardware and software upgrades.

The Enlight Initial Series is designed as a lightweight robot, enhancing both perception and operational capabilities. The perception system integrates high-precision multidimensional force sensors at all joint levels, allowing for up to seven simultaneous contact points, with touch sensitivity precision reaching 0.5N. This system provides full-body skin-level force perception.

In terms of movement range, the high power density actuators and winding techniques have minimized joint sizes, allowing for a range of motion of 720° across the 1/3/5/7 axis joints, which significantly improves operational flexibility in confined spaces. The series is capable of full-load and full-speed continuous operation within 90% of its operational space, addressing common issues of motor temperature rise and performance degradation found in compact robots.

To facilitate scalable deployment, Flexiv introduced the Orion controller and the MICO platform. The Orion controller features a modular and lightweight design, optimizing the underlying system to enhance collaborative control among multiple robotic arms while lowering the programming barrier for dual-arm cooperation.

The MICO platform is a standardized and modular dual-arm robotic system that provides a full-stack dual-arm control interface. Developers can directly utilize the underlying collision avoidance and kinematic calculation capabilities, making it suitable for various applications in medical assistance, commercial services, and laboratory research.

Additionally, Flexiv has upgraded its end effectors. The new Grav Enhanced gripping claw, built on self-developed Gecko material, supports a “rigid-flexible dual mode” switch, allowing it to handle both heavy industrial components and fragile objects effectively.

In terms of safety, Flexiv has introduced the “AEGIS Yijie” safety system, which aligns with ISO 10218-1:2025 and IEC 61508 safety standards. This system incorporates 28 active safety features, including safety speed monitoring and coordinate monitoring, aimed at ensuring safe operation of robots in unstructured environments such as medical, civil, and home settings.

Currently, Flexiv has established business coverage in key regions including Europe, Japan, South Korea, North America, and Southeast Asia. The company plans to promote the ecosystem of embodied intelligence in industries such as precision manufacturing, biomedical fields, and commercial services through open standardized system interfaces.
