First Hydrogen Energy and Renewable Energy Forum Held in Zhangjiakou

On November 16, the first China Zhangjiakou Hydrogen Energy and Renewable Energy Forum was held in Zhangjiakou City. This forum was co-hosted by the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Zhangjiakou Municipal People’s Government, and the China Electric Vehicle Hundred Persons Association. Themed “Coordinated Development, Promoting Energy Revolution,” the event gathered representatives from various sectors of the hydrogen energy and automotive industries across the nation, including government, industry, academia, research, and application.

During the forum, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the collaborative innovation and development of the hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle industry chain in the <b>Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei</b> region, as well as the synergistic development of new energy vehicles and renewable energy.

The forum was chaired by <b>Duan Runbao</b>, deputy director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. Distinguished guests included <b>Chen Qingtai</b>, chairman of the China Electric Vehicle Hundred Persons Association and former secretary of the Party Leadership Group at the State Council Development Research Center; <b>Luo Junjie</b>, deputy director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; <b>Xu Chaofan</b>, deputy director of the High-Tech Development and Industrialization Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology; and <b>Guo Ying</b>, standing committee member of the Zhangjiakou Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor, who delivered opening remarks.

Additionally, <b>Li Hong</b>, vice mayor of Zhangjiakou, and <b>Ouyang Minggao</b>, executive vice chairman of the China Electric Vehicle Hundred Persons Association and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, presented keynote speeches.

The forum yielded substantial results, initiating various practical collaborations. It released operational data for hydrogen fuel cell buses in Zhangjiakou and held a ceremony for the establishment of <b>Ouyang Minggao's</b academic workstation. A tripartite strategic cooperation framework agreement was signed among the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Zhangjiakou Municipal People's Government, and the China Electric Vehicle Hundred Persons Association. Furthermore, a cooperation intention agreement was signed between the Zhangjiakou Municipal People's Government and the China Electric Vehicle Hundred Persons Association for the establishment of a <b>Hydrogen Energy and Renewable Energy Research Institute</b>.

Guests at the forum provided insightful speeches on various aspects such as technological breakthroughs, policy and regulation development, infrastructure construction, and commercial promotion. They highlighted both the vast potential and challenges faced by the hydrogen energy industry, offering forward-looking and professional opinions and suggestions.
