On April 2, the press conference for the FAIR plus 2026 Robotics Industry Link Conference was held, announcing that this global annual event in the robotics sector will take place from April 22 to 24 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian).

The exhibition is guided by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and is co-hosted by the Shenzhen Robotics Association and the Stuttgart Exhibition Company from Germany. The event aims to gather global resources and create a professional platform that integrates technology showcases, academic exchanges, supply-demand matching, and scenario implementation, thus facilitating collaboration across the entire robotics industry chain and promoting coordinated innovation development.

One of the highlights of FAIR plus 2026 is the establishment of the world’s first exhibition focused specifically on the development phase of robotics. This unique event will cover an exhibition area of 15,000 square meters and will invite over 500 enterprises from upstream sectors of the robotics industry chain. The exhibition will showcase tangible products and cover more than 50 segments of the embodied intelligent robotics industry, fully addressing the resource needs for both development and secondary development processes.

The exhibitor structure is strategically aligned with various stages of the industry chain, with three-quarters of the exhibitors being core upstream enterprises. These include key components such as control systems, servo systems, sensors, integrated joints, as well as essential technologies like AI algorithms, simulation tools, and computing chips that form the “brain” of robots. The remaining quarter consists of companies involved in machine development, design, and system integration, ensuring complete coverage from core upstream technologies to downstream implementation, thus creating the most densely packed professional showcase for the robotics industry.

Additionally, more than 50 professional events will be held concurrently during the exhibition to create a dedicated networking space for technical developers. Among these is the FIRST Conference – a forum at the cutting edge of intelligent robotics, which focuses on “Industry + Academia.” It will feature a main forum, an international session, and seven parallel sub-forums, addressing all aspects of the development chain from fundamental research to core technologies and practical applications. Topics will include key breakthroughs and applications in fields such as healthcare, marine, special industries, manufacturing, agriculture, biomimetics, and human-robot interaction.

The conference will invite over 30 academicians and leading scholars, along with more than 20 international industry leaders, to share insights, fostering deep integration among academia, industry, international and domestic sectors, as well as technology and application scenarios.

Moreover, the exhibition has been included in the Guangdong Province 2026 “Invest in Guangdong” series of investment promotion events, particularly focusing on embodied robotics, to help businesses connect with global resources, expand market opportunities, and establish cooperative projects. The event will also host the POWER Robot Innovation and Empowerment Summit in collaboration with the Shenzhen Venture Capital Association, focusing on capital empowerment, technology implementation, and globalization, along with specialized roadshow activities. The MATCH supply-demand meeting will facilitate precise pairing between demand-side scenarios and technical development companies.

In addition, the exhibition is enhancing its international presence by building a bridge for global industry cooperation. It has specifically invited dozens of high-quality overseas companies to participate. The audience will also include diverse groups from countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Finland, and the Netherlands, led by industry promotion organizations. Delegations from Japan, Russia, Southeast Asian countries, South Korean universities, and American investment institutions will also attend.

Currently, over 20 national robotics association leaders or key representatives have expressed their intention to use this exhibition to promote deep cooperation between their domestic member companies and the Chinese robotics industry, aiming for mutual benefit and collaborative development.

It is noteworthy that the opening ceremony will unveil the Shenzhen Robotics Industry Development White Paper (2025) and other industry achievements, providing forward-looking guidance and practical references for industry development.

Shenzhen has made significant progress in nurturing its emerging robotics industry. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, companies like UBTech and Yuejiang Technology have grown in the “Robot Valley,” while leaders in niche markets, such as Kenqi Technology, Yunji Intelligent, and Pudu Technology, continue to rise. Hundreds of businesses supporting the robotics industry chain are gathering, and Shenzhen’s “Robot Valley” is gradually becoming a source of technological innovation and an application demonstration zone for robotics, both nationally and globally. In 2024, Shenzhen is expected to produce 133,900 industrial robots and 7,112,900 service robots, having already published 51 typical case studies of smart robot applications, accelerating the formation of an industry ecosystem.

The organizers of FAIR plus 2026 are committed to creating a hub for robotics development and secondary development, driving collaborative innovation across the entire robotics industry chain, and contributing to the global robotics industry from Shenzhen.
