Exploring New Service Models with “AI+”

During the peak travel season, the waiting hall at Wuhu Station is bustling with people. A striking figure dressed in a bright red “Spring Festival Volunteer” sash catches the eye. Standing at 1.67 meters tall, this humanoid robot, named “Moyin,” gracefully navigates through the crowd, providing travelers with route guidance and information.

“Where is the ticket check?” “Is this train delayed?” “Where can I find hot water nearby?” As travelers ask these frequently repeated questions during the busy season, this newly appointed volunteer responds quickly and accurately, injecting a dose of intelligence into this annual cross-regional migration.

The humanoid robot “Moyin” offers volunteer services at Wuhu Station.

“The high-speed train service robot is an important step in expanding the public service landscape of our company, Moke Robot. In the future, people will frequently encounter these robotic assistants in more public sectors,” said Zhang Guibing, the general manager of Anhui Moke Intelligent Robot Technology Co., Ltd.

The State Council has issued an opinion on further implementing the “Artificial Intelligence +” initiative, clearly stating the need to innovate new service models. It aims to accelerate the evolution of the service sector from digitally empowered internet services to intelligent-driven new service methods, expanding operational scopes and promoting the intelligent development of modern services.

Before starting her role at Wuhu Station, “Moyin” had an impressive “career”: she served as a sales consultant at various automobile exhibitions globally, participated in traffic enforcement and order maintenance on the streets of Wuhu, and provided guiding and inquiry services at multiple exhibitions.

“By 2025, our company plans to deliver over 300 robots and more than 1,000 robotic dogs, with products entering more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. They will be widely used in factory inspections, exhibition services, and various other scenarios, helping multiple industries enhance service efficiency and deliver a new intelligent service experience,” Zhang Guibing added.

From robot volunteers at train stations to robotic chefs making coffee in cultural tourism spots, and even robotic caregivers providing companionship in nursing homes, “Artificial Intelligence +” is transitioning from concept to large-scale application, exploring the transformation of services in transportation, culture and tourism, retail, and elderly care.

At Anhui Wansao Home Service Co., Ltd., staff are utilizing the company’s self-developed AI application platform for home services, which creates precise profiles of domestic workers. It quickly matches and recommends suitable candidates from tens of thousands of service providers to consumers.

“Previously, staff would filter through vast amounts of data based on experience. Now, with intelligent algorithms, consumer needs are analyzed and matched in just seconds, providing several suitable options,” said Gong Jie, head of the R&D center at Wansao Home Service.

At Hefei Zero Point Robotics Co., Ltd., robots are being trained to perform garbage collection tasks.

As artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence technologies advance rapidly, more forward-thinking explorations of “AI+ services” are underway. At Hefei Zero Point Robotics Co., Ltd., researchers are training a wheeled humanoid robot in a simulated public restroom setting to perform tasks such as cleaning tables, disinfecting toilets, folding clothes, and vacuuming.

This robot, designed with a wheeled chassis, has already entered over 20 urban landmark locations, including supermarkets, airports, and hotels, offering intelligent services such as cleaning, disinfection, and product sorting. “Our company plans to conduct successive pilot tests in concentrated service industry scenarios to quickly validate the technical feasibility and accumulate real-world data,” stated Yang Wei, the chief brand officer of Zero Point Robotics.

“The evolution of robots from professional commercial assistants to trusted life partners for every household is a future worth looking forward to,” Yang Wei concluded.
