The application date for this patent was May 2024.
The patent abstract reveals that this utility model discloses a battery module and a battery pack that includes this battery module. The battery module consists of at least two stacked module units. Each module unit comprises a cell and two brackets, a first bracket and a second bracket, positioned opposite each other, with the cell situated between them. The outer periphery of the first bracket features a first groove, while the second bracket has a second groove. Notably, the first bracket of one module unit can be detachably connected to the second bracket of an adjacent module unit.
Furthermore, an electrical connector is employed to connect adjacent module units electrically, positioned within the first and second grooves. This design allows for modular installation of multiple module units. By concealing the electrical connectors that link adjacent module units within the grooves, the risk of short circuits or impacts from external components is significantly reduced, thereby enhancing the safety of the modular battery module.
