Eternity Technologies Acquires Indian Battery Hub
Dubai-based industrial battery manufacturer Eternity Technologies has announced the acquisition of the production facility of EnerSys India Batteries Private Limited located in Vijayawada. This strategic move aims to bolster its presence in the Indian market, which is experiencing rapid growth.
Eternity describes the acquisition as a significant investment in India’s expanding economy and the increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions in the logistics, power, and energy storage sectors. The company emphasized that this acquisition aligns with its vision of driving innovation and sustainability within the global battery industry.
According to Eternity Technologies, “India’s logistics industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by the expansion of e-commerce, infrastructure development, and global trade.” As the industry shifts towards electrification, particularly in forklift trucks and material handling equipment, there is a growing demand for high-performance, environmentally friendly battery solutions.
To meet this demand, Eternity plans to invest in upgrading the facility to a state-of-the-art production hub, which will cater to the Indian market’s requirements for stationary batteries for power stations and energy storage applications.
CEO Mark Stevenson remarked that this investment represents a crucial step in the company’s expansion strategy. He stated, “We are committed to providing cutting-edge battery solutions that support the country’s rapid shift towards electrification and sustainable energy.” Stevenson further noted that enhancing local production capabilities at the Vijayawada facility will allow the company to meet the evolving needs of both the logistics and energy sectors with high-quality, safe, and fully recyclable products.
